Holy Happy Birthday to ME!!

SOOOOO, I survived the big 30. Sad but true---I am no longer in my 20's--Yikes!! A few months back (in the middle of a Kenny Chesney concert) my friends and I decided that we needed to have a BIG birthday party this year. The one MUST---DANCING. We wanted a fun night that included a little dancing. We got that and a WHOLE lot more. After that initial idea for a party, the ideas just got crazier. The end result---an 80's party. Tecnically I was born in 79, but just barely:)
I knew that 80's costumes would be fun, but had no idea how far we would all end up going. Everyone gave about a thousand percent effort and came up with some GREAT costumes. I have the BEST friends in the world. Marcie said it best when she told me "I wouldn't just dress up like this for anybody." But to make me happy they did it!! My mom and dad would be so proud of their 80's girls:)

Doctor and Mrs. Wieseler. The Rocker and the pregnant Groupie. I don't think they even need a comment---I will just let the picture speak for itself.

When Fran and Jake arrived I almost died. They were perfect. They REALLY looked like people from the 80's. I told Fran I think she was born 10 years too late cause she could really pull off this look!!

Michael stopped by to say hi:)

Doesn't Marcie look like she could have been your babysitter back in the day???

Franny told Annette that she looked like Richard Simmons--ha ha. She brought her trusty camara and snapped pictures of all of our craziness.

Michael Jackson in the house:)

Mr. and Mrs. Peterson (Tim and Tricia) even stopped by. I told them it was nice of them to come by so that being 30 didn't seem so old (cause they are 40).

Seriously, wasn't Franny perfect??? Look at those shoes!!! We thought Guitar Hero was appropriate for the event and some of us rocked and some of us sucked. No comment on which group I belonged to.

I told Amy that Pregnant Guitar Hero looks a little like banjo playing:)

I look like I am rockin it, but I am pretty much horrible.

Ryan Jackson and his team mate.
We also played 80's Scene It. We pretty much knew nothing. Only Todd could answer any of the questions from his supply of useless facts. Doesn't Ryan Jackson look like he is enjoying the party??

Brock and Emily came by and I think they were a little shocked by our 80's-ness.

This was the audience at the "dance." You can tell from their response that the dancing was pretty amazing--right??

Since the dancing was the whole reason for the party, I insisted on full cooperation. Of course my friends pulled out all of the stops and boogied on down.

We even had a moon-walk-off. I actually think that maybe Ryan the Rockstar beat out Michal on that one. We finished up the night like the oldies that we are and played a little Catch Phrase---I know I know---out of control.
Well that was our fun night. Actually I had lots of fun and hope that everyone else had a little fun too. Thanks everyone for making my birthday so special. Love you guys!!! btw--I already have a plan for our next costume party--get ready!!!

You guys know how to throw a party! I love your hair! We couldn't go because we had plans with family and we say Wes and he tried to explain what Ryan was wearing but I didn't expect that! :) Awesome!!!!

I agree w/ Amy on the blue eyeliner. I woke up the next morning and jake said "wow your make-up is still on". I was thinking eye shadow and all, no but the eye liner was not going to give up. I practically had to scrap t off w/ my finger nails. I agree jess the party was fun and the outfits were even funnier.

Seriously, I wish I could have been there! How stinkin' fun! Fran looked so in in her espirit sweatshirt, where did she ever find that. I think I might steal this idea for my own 30th birthday. Gee, we are getting old! I better live up the last 7 months of my 20's while they last. :) Happy Birthday, Jess!
