Yesterday was Ethan's 2 month "birthday." Holy Moly Batman!!! Where have the last 2 months gone????? Looking back it seems that we have accomplished VERY little, but at least we are all dressed and clean and fed MOST days =)
SOOOO what HAVE we been up to??? Here is a bit about what I remember from the last few weeks.....
Emersyn is still madly in love with her Little Fella. Except for a few jealous outbursts and a lot of ATTENTION seeking behavior, Em has been a champ. I realize her life is pretty much upside down right now, but she has adapted REALLY well. She wants Ethan to be around her ALL of the time. Most days she wants to take a FAMILY nap in my bed. Trust me I don't complain. We all lay down. Read some books. Doze off. Then my MOMMY timer kicks in and I get me and Ethan out of there so we can accomplish something. ANYTHING!!! If she had HER way though....she would want him to stay there and hold her hand while she naps. When she does manage to nap in her own bed she NEEDS him to lay by her while she falls asleep. As you can tell it works for him...not so much for her.
Em also really likes to TAKE BROTHER A BATH!!! Besides dumping his diapers in the diaper pail, bathtime is her favorite HELPING time.
Little Man still has his rolls. The way he eats I don't see them leaving ANY time soon. He is still such a good boy. He only cries when he is REALLY hungry. IF you keep on top of his feedings he just grunts a bit when he is ready to eat. The only other tears we see from him are when his Big Sister sends a toy flying his way OR when he has had ENOUGH of errand running. He is the EXACT opposite of Emersyn at his age. He LOVES his swing and is VERY calm and chill. I guess he got the memo from me up to Heaven that he could ONLY come down and visit us IF HE WAS A GOOD BABY!!!
I know I know....blurry picture. BUT this was my FIRST attempt at catching his cute smile. Even blurry he is a sweetie. He smiles ALL the time. In this picture I caught him chilling in his swing looking up at his mobile and JUST SMILING away. He gets real excited soemtimes and lets out little laughing noises too. I love it.
We took the kids to the circus this past weekend and EMERSYN was in heaven. She loved everything about it (except for the people dressed as clowns, ducks, etc walking around---still not a fan of people dressed up as things).
Ethan was not QUITE as in love with the circus, but he didn't do much complaining. I decided that it had probably been about a year since I have had a picture of me taken without a pregnant belly. Not that my tummy is much smaller now, but at least I FEEL a little better.
My cheopo husband shocked me when I asked him about going to the circus. HE decided we needed reserved seats. COOL!! This is SERIOSLY how close we were to the elephants....no zooming in. It was great!!! My camera did not work too well in there with the lighting though. I pretty much got blurry pictures of Emersyn and dark pictures of the elephants. Not sure about that one.....anyway. We had a great time. Emersyn's favorite part....the big clown that got put in the washing machine and got shrunk. Go figure???? We spent all that money to go and see elephants and trick horses and acrobats....and she loved the crazy clowns.
She also loved sitting by the aisle so that she could bust a move during intermission. She put on quite a show for all of the people around us.
We might now be DOING much around here, but we are loving our little guy and HE is changing and growing faster than I am happy with. He heads to the doctor tomorrow for his well check and first shots, I am excited to see how much he weighs.
