Ethan Update

 I have had LOTS of people asking how Ethan is coming along....and darn it I have been running around and busy and have not been good about updating everyone.  SOOO here he is.  New big boy head and everything. 

 These pictures are from Emersyn's last soccer game and were taken on Thursday.  SOOO this is him 3 weeks and 2 days POST surgery.  He is looking good RIGHT?? 

 I can finally look at him and just see ETHAN...rather than thinking HEY..YOU ARE NOT MY KID!!!  But sometimes I look at old pictures and think...WOW where did my baby go???  I am getting used to his new look, but he FOR SURE looks much older now---sad!!

 He was not feeling like smiling...or getting his face washed, but you get the idea.  We went to Seattle Children's on Monday for his check up and they said he was doing GREAT.  He is cleared for normal activity (which is good because yesterday I found him in the bathroom sink with the water running) and his incision is healing up well.  They actually do not want to see us back again for TWO YEARS!!  Can you believe it????  That means that this whole nasty business is behind us and we can move on with our lives. 

 Ethan's hair is already starting to grow back and after this summer I am sure his scar will be nicely covered.  I cannot believe that it was less than a month ago that he looked like he had gotten beat up by a pro boxer and now he is running around with BARELY any signs of surgery...AMAZING!!!

 The only differences in Ethan--besides his head of course---is his attachment to ME.  He is VERY clingy now and wants me 24/7.  Like actually 24 hours a day--meaning that I do not get to go potty by myself, sleep alone, or walk out of the room.  I guess that is the trade off when you let someone cut your baby's head open:) 

 Kayl did NOT want to be left out of the photoshoot.  He came and stood RIGHT in front of the camara and insisted on a picture.

 SOOOO I guess to make a long story short....Ethan is recovered....pretty much.  I still worry about bumps and knocks, but I guess he is sturdier than I think.  He is back to all of his old tricks...Just being a regular naughty little boy!!!
