Yesterday was a cool day. Todd and I went to Kadlec for our hospital tour. I think it was a little reminder to both of us that this is THE month. It was good to get a little information on what we will do and where to go. It was pretty cute--when we got there, I asked at the information desk how to find the Birthing Center. The lady asked, "Are you in labor?" Apparently I didn't look as calm and cute as I thought:) We looked around, signed some pre-registration papers and I signed up for an epidural. I made that VERY clear that I was not interested in being anybodies hero. I finally feel like the day is coming close. 26 more days--YAY!! Now I am just waiting out the long days until Emersyn comes. I am going a little crazy though and having a hard time being patient.
Also yesterday Amy saved me from being homebound and we went out to lunch. So at least for a few hours I was saved from sitting in the nursery and looking at all of the cute baby stuff. Thank You Amy!!
I also have Amy to thank for another part of my day. She made the mistake of bringing me a book to borrow. I have not been able to read anything except AP books for school for about 6 months or more. I have really missed reading for fun!! BUT--she brought me the book Twilight. Now I have to admit I wasn't REALLY into it because I know that my kids have been reading it and talking about it for months. VAMPIRES!!! That really isn't my thing. Especially when they are high school age. BUT apparently it was my thing because I was up until 2 this morning reading the dang thing. I just kept thinking--"This is stupid" "Why am I still reading this?" "Why am I not sleepy?" And yet...I kept reading. Now I am a little embarrassed that I am reading a high school book, but not embarrassed enough to stop reading it:) One good thing has come out of this late night vampire session---I slept in this morning until about 8!! YAY! So Amy--Thanks I guess for letting me stop being an morning person--Now I am a night person I guess--maybe it's the vampire in me:)

I am glad you are not going to be anybody's hero.....it is not worth it!
I read the twilight series to in like a week. I surprised myself, vampires, high school, and yet it was good:)
26 more days! Woohoo!
Jess - I'm glad the hospital tour was good! And-I can't believe that you read the Twilight book! haha...
We're back from Vegas - I just posted a super long post on my blog, so check it out. I'll give you a call in a little bit and see if you're at school and need help. Talk to you soon!

Okay a couple things...
1. I told you you'd be embarassed about reading the Twilight book- Imagine how I feel having read ALL three of them and then looking up the release date for the fourth! ( I'll bring 2 and 3 when I see you this weekend)
2. Epidurals are INCREDIBLE
3. It is a personal goal for me to convert all of my friends into night owls... I HATE perky people in the morning!
How fun that you had your hospital tour! Yay! It's getting closer. Tiny babies are just so cute! You're going to be such a great mom. I recommend the epidural as well. Trust me, I was fully dialated and mine had wore off, and I had to wait 30 minutes in full-on, hard labor to go into surgery! The epidural is your best friend and your husband's too, for that matter! ;) Oh, and I flat out asked my dr two weeks before my delivery how far along I had to be before getting the epidural, he said whenever I wanted it. I got one at a 3, so maybe ask your dr, and you can get one early, early! :)
Yikes! I saw Erin have Jaiden and I was in pain! She said it wasnt that bad. You'll do super!
seriously whats the deal with the twighlight series? you and like 200 other people have written about them!!!! i am excited for a sweet new baby cousin. Are you going to the beach this year?
Yeah, the only book I could get David to read were those vampire books, other than self help books that he loves (Yuck!) We were both reading at the same time and so we would fight over them at night. Silly!
Good luck with the baby. For some reason I was thinking you were due any day. Maybe 'cause you quite at work? Anyways, good luck, you'll do great. I love babies in the hospital!
Jess, How exciting to know the time to meet your baby is so near!!! I must say, though, that I think you are brave to get an epidural--they truly scare me (I've heard too many horror stories, so I had my 3 naturally--well, mostly).
And on the Twilight series, I read all three books in a week, then I reread them and I have thought about reading them again--pathetic, I know, but I liked them.
Good luck--I can't wait to see pictures of your baby!
