SOOOO I realize the fair happened about a month ago, but better late than never RIGHT????
We were only home from our vacation for a day before my parents decided they wanted to go to the fair with the grandkids. I decided that despite the fact that I was SICK, and exhausted, and still had suitcases to unpack from our trip---if Em was going to have fun I HAD TO TAKE HER. So we JUST did it.
Bunnies were kinda the hit of the day for Em. Just imagine how big I am now----a month later---(sigh).
Moving on.....I was amazed at how brave Emersyn was this year. She loved Old McDonalds Barn and all of the little animals there that allowed her to pet them. She was kinda funny with the horses....she would hold out a piece of straw to them---thinking they would want to eat it. BUT when they got close to sniff it, she would throw it at them and back up---guess she was not as brave as she thought:)
I WAS happy to see that Emersyn liked baby pigs a little bit, since THEY ARE MY ALL TIME FAVE!!!!
HER favorite was the baby goats though. This is her explaining to another little boy that this was in fact HER baby goat to pet and that she would let him try for a minute, but then it would be her turn again--because they were HERS.
MOOOOOOOO!!!
Just like last year....the balloon was the BEST part of the fair. I think if we had gone and ONLY gotten a balloon she would have totally been fine with that. Of course the balloon was free and the rest of the fair was NOT......go figure.
Papa of course thought she needed a pony ride. She was VERY excited until they actually put her on the horsey----then she looked a little unsure.
She REALLY liked it AFTER it was over:)
Poor girl didn't make it out of the gates. I stopped to buy a drink and she couldn't stand it another minute. I guess that is a sign of a successful day.
Getty-up Cowgirl. She has been a cowgirl ever since----LOVE IT!!!!!
