Library Day

One of the highlights of the week (for Emersyn that is) is library day.  It is actually a good day for both of us…she gets to see Delaney and play and get new books.  I get to have adult conversation with Amy and get out of the house for a few hours.  WIN-WIN!!!  Anyway…this week was a special library day.  They had a special singer come in and perform for the kids.  It was kind of a kid sing along, dance along, run around along extravaganza.  At least for my kid…others were content to sit and watch:)

She doesn’t really groove on Criss Cross Apple Sauce.  She is more of a stand and dance along kinda girl.

She is not usually alone in her ignoring of the rules.  She can usually talk Laney into a little rule breaking.

Impromptu dance session.

Ring around the Rosey!!!  At least this week there was music playing.  last week they started Ring around the Rosey in the middle of story time.  OOOPS!!!  I am usually too busy laughing to really try to stop them.

Hugging or wrestling…not sure.  Another mother there was a little worried about them and told them to stop…I guess she felt it was ok to yell at someone else’s kid.  Not a big fan of that…anyway… they had a good time and danced and clapped and ran around like little crazed monkeys.  Perfect morning for 2 and 3 year olds.

I seriously LOVE how much Emersyn loves to read.  She loves her books and LOVES the library.  She is truly her momma’s child when it comes to reading.  I do not however love how she looks like such a big girl…is she 2 or 12?????  Good thing I have a new little one on the way who has to cuddle with me for a while:)

I was just thinking that she looked like she was getting big. Her hair has gotten really long. It looks cute in those pigtails.

I'm also NOT a fan of other parents thinking it's okay to parent someone else's child! SO ANNOYING!
