6 months old

Technically Ethan is now 6 months and a week old, but hey....who is keeping track????  Poor kid really is a 2nd child I guess.  I am only 2 months behind in my blogging, so I will skip ahead to an Ethan birthday update. 

Little E is now weighing in around 18 pounds...we find out for sure tomorrow.  He loves to play, cuddle, eat popsicles, try to crawl, bother his sister, play peek-a-boo, and grab EVERYTHING.  He especially likes to pull hair, I am surprised Emersyn and I are not bald yet.  He is super easy to make laugh and easy to entertain.  He loves attention and would really like someone to pay attention to him 24/7....namely ME.  

He is SUPER happy, EXCEPT WHEN HE IS MAD.  The last week he has been a bit of a crab....I blame it on teeth and hope they come in soon.  He is easy going and pretty relaxed.  He puts up with a lot, but when he has had enough he is MAD!!!!  He is a great baby to take places (besides the crying in the car thing---hate that).  He really likes to people watch and never makes a peep when we go places.  His biggest accomplishment this week was sitting in the front of the shopping cart at the grocery store.  He hates staying in his carseat and I hate lugging him in the carrier.....but we both LOVE having him in the cart....FINALLY. 

He pretty much spends EVERY second he is on the floor working on crawling.  HE WANTS TO DO IT BAD!!!  He can move across the floor, but usually it is backwards and that makes him MAD.  He can scoot with his head, push around with his arms, go in circles, and go backwards, but so far no REAL crawling.  I am guessing ANY day he is going to take off.  I think the main thing he wants to do is be WHERE EMERSYN IS AT ALL MOMENTS.  Thus the need to be mobile!!!

He loves his Emersyn A LOT.  He lights up when she is around.  He wants to do what SHE is doing.  They are so cute.  She built a tower out of blocks today JUST so he could knock it down.  The only thing she is not a fan of....him getting a hold of Barbie.  NOT GOOD.  She has ONE that she lets him have, but when he gets greedy and heads for the Barbie Mansion...she screams!!!! 

He has been eating cereal for over 2 months and has been eating baby food since the beginning of August.  I have been making his baby food, and he never complains.  Even with peas he gives me a look like...what is this???  and then just keeps on eating.  He wants to eat EVERYTHING we are eating.  If I get a snack, he has to have one too.  He likes rice crackers and Gerber Puffs right now, but would REALLY like to eat all of the good stuff Emersyn has. So far he has eaten--carrots, apples, peas, sweet potatos, bananas, and green beans.  He eats like a champ....seriously though you can probably tell by looking at him!!!

We love this little guy and cannot believe how fast 6 months has gone by.  Happy Half Birthday E!!!!
