A dang post for Rosie!!

Ok--We really have not had much going on for a few weeks, but since Rosie is cyber-stalking us, we will share our boringness. Our family has been sick since before Christmas, so we have spent lots of time at home. Emersyn and I probably shouldn't be at home together alone as much as we are. Don't get me wrong, she is a great kid and I love her, but she is the most stubborn soul I have ever met (I don't know where she gets it from--must be her day:)). Right now she is on a sleep strike. She is not sleeping just to prove that she can do it I think.



Yesterday after I tried to get her to nap for over an hour, I gave up and hopped in the shower. Soon it got really quiet and I decided to peek out and see what Emersyn was up to. Emersyn had decided to combine her two favorite things--the toilet and toilet paper. Somehow she had managed to get the toilet paper roll (even though it was on the counter and not the roll because this is not her first experience with the paper) and dunk it in the toilet. This alone would have been gross, but it was worse than that. She was then sucking the water out of the sopping wet toilet paper--right off the roll. UGHHH!!!



Sunday was a rough day for Emersyn's clothes. She had a messy diaper which managed to get all over her onsie, then right as we were getting ready to leave, she had a leaky wet diaper. So when we got to mom's we quickly changed her into other clothes. One problem--no socks. My mom would not allow Emersyn to go out to the car without any socks, so she came up with an idea--gloves. She put her gloves on Emersyn's toes. Grandmas are funny:)

She looked like a fish or weird bug crawling around the house with her gloved feet. As you can see she has gotten really good at crawling--I couldn't get her to slow down for a picture.

Emersyn has fallen in love--With Baby Einstein Old McDonald. She would watch it all day if I allowed it. She will stop what she is doing and get as close as she can.

And if that isn't close enough----she will try to get closer!!!

Well that is us in all of our boring glory. Emersyn spends her day chasing the cat from room to room and destroying toilet paper rolls. When she starts to get tired she shakes it off and watches a little tv. I spend my day worrying that she wont sleep, blowing my poor sore nose and cleaning up my bathroom. We have watched the first half of season 1 of Gilmore Girls and even broken into some of our VHS tapes to keep busy. TV marathons and cold medicine and crying and non-sleeping--THAT'S IT!! We are way too boring for a post--ROSIE!!!
