I feel like summer has just started and yet going SO fast that it will soon be over. We have not been up to much, but mostly just playing outside and cleaning inside. I recently decided to plant some vegetables. I don't know what got into me actually...I have no plant growing abilities, but I wanted a garden. I think the problem is this...our neighborhood has tons of rules, what you can plant, where you can plant, everything has to be pre-approved. SO since I COULD NOT plant a garden, I wanted too:) So I got all my planter boxes together, filled them with soil, and bought some veggie plants. I know nothing about growing them and probably did it all wrong, but even if they all die, I am only out like 6 bucks or something. BUT if they don't die, I might have vegetables AND some pride!!! Anyway, Emersyn enjoyed our trip to the nursery place where we got the plants. I wish I would have had my camara. They had wagons there to pull your plants around with, and Emersyn thought it was baby heaven. She played in the sprinklers, pushed the wagon up and down the isles and picked flowers (oops). This is her after her trip---hot, hungry and HAPPY. What you cannot see is that her bum is black and filthy from sitting in a huge muddy puddle while refusing to get into the car. She WAS pretty excited to see that the plants arrived at our house and needed to be planted---IN DIRT. It was by far her favorite day of summer so far.

Today was church and of course lunch at Grandma's house. Marcie--These next pictures are for you. Emersyn's new dress (from you) was a huge hit at church today--all of the old ladies thought she was the cutest kid they ever saw--that is a quote!! She did look pretty darn cute--and grown up too.

She was very interested in Grandma's flowers (they are fake).

Apparently even fake flowers need to be picked and smelled. I could not stop her becuase she was just so darn cute--plus I am not a huge fan of the fake flowers:)

There was more destroying of Grandma's house yet to come. Everything below knee level is fair game--and trust me....Grandma has a lot of fun stuff. Here is the giant pine cone.

Some more fake flower arrangements.

The list goes on, but you get the idea.
We are headed to good ole Basin City Elementary tomorrow. It is my mom's last day of school and they are having a family lunch. She invited Em and I--I think she wants to show off her cute grand baby...I just want to get out of the house and eat some food that I don't have to make:)
