OHHHH to be 2 again!!!

Do you remember how much fun it was to be a kid?????

This is what happened when you were told that you could not go outside without shoes, socks and a coat.  You went and found.....well shoes, socks and a coat.  (That really backfired on mommy who wanted to stay inside but could not argue with a fully dressed--although slightly homeless looking-- kid who was saying PLEASE!!!!)

You could swing like a girl and nobody teased you about it.

Coloring ouside the lines was OK!!

And learning a new way to climb up the swingset was A BIGGGG DEAL!!!! 

Well I am not a kid in any way, shape, or form---especially shape--but I LOVE watching Emersyn discover her self.  She cracks me up (when I am not counting to 10 and trying to avoid causing her physical damage) and REALLY knows how to have a good time.  I love that she is learning new things.  Like coloring...

Now she really focuses on coloring each object.  Like in this picture she colored EACH leaf individually and really tried to stay on track.  She does not QUITE get it done, but she does NOT scribble.  She realllllllly wants to be able to color well and spends LOTS of time practicing.  Note the irony in the picture that Emersyn chose for mommy to color;)

I really need to take the time to stop and smell the roses more often.  I need to dress myself in JUST what I want and not worry about what others think.  I need to go down the slide backwards and color outside some of the lines.  Sometimes I get so wrapped up in being a good mom that I forget to be a FUN mom too.   My vow for tomorrow.....not stop after 20 games of Ring Around the Rosey, but to play until Emersyn WANTS to stop---WHY NOT???  What else is more important? And who knows....maybe it will be as much fun as being 2 ALL OVER AGAIN:)
