Easter!!

Easter snuck up on me this year...Easer in March...what???  We had a good Easter weekend though...busy busy!!!  Creete came over to help us color eggs. 

Ethan ate more eggs than he colored.  The first one he ate with the shell ON.  Then once he learned you could crack them....he was a big fan.  He ate at least 5...probably more. 

 Easter morning was COLD at our house, so the Easter Bunny decided it was best to hide eggs INDOORS!!!  Ethan was mostly just confused that there were eggs all over the living room.  But once he discovered there was candy inside, he thought things were looking up. 

 I was busy all weekend making Easter clothes for these two cuties.  Emersyn could not find a dress in the stores that she wanted, but decided since her mom likes to sew that she could just whip her up one...she has great faith in her momma.  She found one on Etsy and wanted hers to be EXACTLY like it.  She wanted purple zig zag...yellow belt....pink flower.  NOTHING DIFFERENT!!!  SOO that is what she got.

 In order to be fair to THE BOY, I decided to make him some super cute pants.  SADLY, that simple project turned into a pain in mommy's neck.  His outfit took about 4 times as long as Emersyn's.  First his super fun big pockets ended up on the BACK of the pants.  So I spent some quality time with my UN-picker.  THEN after all that, the pocket holes were too small for Ethan's hands to fit all the way in...we lived with that one although Little BOY was mad.  THEN...the bow tie.  Don't even get me started on that one....

Anyway...we had Easter Sunday at our house.  We were lucky to have Grandma Judy, Grandpa Johnny, Grandma Marilee, Kevin, Justin, and Kelly all over to celebrate with us...THEY ALL managed to hide from the camara as usual. 

 We had another Easter egg hunt...this one with eggs filled by mommy and OUTSIDE!!!  When Emersyn asked what I had put into the eggs, Todd told her maybe a KITTEN.  How do you follow that up...anything less than a cat is a bit of a disappointment:)

 Read Ethan's lips...MORE!!!  No matter how many eggs....no matter how many NUM NUMs...the boy wanted MORE!!! 

 Of course the Princess carried HER basket like a purse...imagine that!!!

 AND although there were no kitties in the eggs...bummer....she did get some new hair clips that she was pretty excited about.  PHEW!!! 

 Even without a nap, this guy had a great day.  He got to eat as much candy as he wanted, got super dirty, had lots of people to hang out with, AND got to put money in his piggy bank.  LITTLE BOY HEAVEN!!!

This picture is SOOOO ETHAN!  If he wants something, he figures out a way to get it.  He wanted to see what was outside the fence, so he lugged his bike over  AND...PROBLEM SOLVED!!!  He gives the Grandmas heart attacks, but he gets what he wants. 

 Dirty face and all, he WOULD NOT let anyone take off his bow tie!!!  I love that kid!  He ROCKED Easter.
