Back to birth weight

Emersyn had to return to her pediatrician to have another weigh-in. Of course she was past her birth weight--I mean look at her:) She now weighs 9 pounds 13 ounces. Her newborn clothes are quickly becoming a thing of the past. I can't believe how quickly she is growing and changing already. By the way--I don't know how people with kids are ever on time. It seriously took me ALL day to get both of us ready to go to the doctor. And I guarantee I was still not looking so great after all of the trouble. I had to go back again the next day to have my incision checked. I decided to leave Emersyn with Grandma Marilee because I didn't know if I had the energy to get us both out the door again. So Emma had her first babysitter:) By the way--I have a question for anyone who has had a c-section. Mine is not healing up so great and I had to go in and have it reopened and some medication put on to burn off some of the skin and then re-closed. Anyway--too much info I know. I ws wondering how long it took you guys to heal up? Meaning no more draining, no more pain. I still feel like my organs are sore--is that how it felt for others?? Just curious what the experience has been like for others.
We had Mothers Day at my house so that I would not have to go anywhere. It was nice because we had my family as well as Todd's family over. How fun is mothers day??? I can't wait until I can really milk it and get pampered:) My husband actually surprised me by getting me a mothers day gift--actually from Emersyn and Aticus:) Not that I don't think my husband is sweet, but he is busy and a little forgetful of holidays, so I wasn't expecting anything. Good Job him though. Here is the 4 generations of hot Bitton girls:) Ignore the fact that I look like a big chub. I promise I will one day be back to some sort of a normal size again--Although I don't know when or how!! I would like to say that I DID wear a non-maturnity shirt yesterday. I was pretty proud of that. Baby steps RIGHT??
This is proud Uncle Justin. My brother LOVES babies. He would have held her all day if everyone else would have let him. Brooke--these pictures are for you since I know you are a big Justin fan:)
Besides loving babies, he also has a magic touch. Emersyn slept right through her dinner time (which she NEVER does) and doesn't she look comfortable?
By the way Amy--I hope you noticed she is wearing your outfit. It was a big hit!! Well SHE was a big hit in the outfit anyway.

My word Jessica, she looks like a 3 month old already, I still cant figure out how you, tiny little you had such a chubbo. She is a doll baby. I bet you are enjoying all of the fun girlie stuff, I know I do. Keep taking it easy, get lots of naps if you can. She is a perfect!!

I echo Mijken! I'm still amazed you had such a chubster! She is cute though! :)

As far as c-section stuff, it took a while to feel totally back to normal. Actually, I still don't have 100% feeling back right around the scar. I remember changing McKay at about 4 months, and he wiggled around and kicked my stomach, and it still was tender. So I think it's normal. The reopening and all that might take you longer to heal if there are complications with it! I echo Mijken, take it easy. Nap as much as you can. It took me 2-3 months to have any sort of a schedule with McKay. Once they kinda create their own, it'll seem easier.

Thanks Jess! They are so cute! Tell Justin HI!!! I wished I lived closer! I am flying into Portland on the 28th. C-sections sounds painful! It makes my skin get goose bumply when I think of stitches, cuts and getting reopened! OUCH! I am a pansy when it comes to things like that. The mere thought of even having a baby someday freaks me out. Tell Todd hi, you guys should come with us on a cruise this winter???!!!
