Fall Festival Weekend:)

Friday Todd and I dropped off baby girl and headed to Cashmere for the football game. I did some sewing and reading on the way, so it wasn't TOO bad. The game was great--warm weather, good cheerleaders, sitting next to Marcie, what else could I ask for???? OH yeah and we won!!!

I am not great at the action shots but here is my attempt.

Saturday the crew went to the parade. Last year Em was not so sure about all of the noise, but this year she LOVED IT!!! She danced, cheered, waved, talked to the horses, and danced some more. She also decided that CANDY is AMAZING. She has never had much candy, but she is a BIG fan. Most of the candy that made it home already had a baby bite out of it---wrapper and all.

Grandma was in charge of chasing down the candy and saving Emersyn from running out in front of the cars. I was in charge of guarding the candy on the sidewalk and making rude comments about the floats. Fran was apparently too busy texting to be in charge of anything:)

Whoop Whoop--Educator of the year MARCIE KOCH!!! She for sure earned this honor, although I KNOW she hated being in the spotlight. She had a BIG cheering section in our area---We love us some Marcie!!!!

The Cheerleaders were still working out the kinks when they got to us, but they are young and cute so they can get away with it. I cannot however forgive them for not seeing us and NOT waving to my cheer obsessed little girl:)

My favorite float was the dancing horses, but this was Franny's favorite---She thought it was so classy!!

I did not know if anything would compare to the parade, but Em might have loved the fair even more. She ran from pen to pen yelling ME ME!! Which roughly translates to I want to pet that animal please!! She thought she loved the sheep until she met the pigs. She IS my kid and she LOVED the piggies. Thanks to the Pinks her wish came true and she was able to get into the pen and say hi. I think it was more for me---it has been a while since I got to love on a piggy.

Here are some oldies by goodies from the last few weeks. I am worn out from cheer practice and have not been a great blogger (although I am sure some people are glad to have a break).
Princess Emersyn all ready for church.
Emersyn LOVES when grandma comes. There is always something fun and exciting. This time it was a car. She runs around it, opens the door, crawls in, closes the door, honks the horn, opens the door, jumps out and closes the door. Then she starts over. It is pretty hilarious. Thanks Grandma Marilee.
And these are just typical crazy cute Emersyn. LOVE THIS KID!!!
Coming up this weekend: more football, open house party at the Wieseler's, Gracee's birthday party---I am tired already.

Like Fran, we commented on the "classy" floats. I don't think we have seen that much crack ever before. Don't you think they would have felt a draft or the sun beating down on them? How hard is it to pull up your pants?
