a little bit productive!!

Since cheerleading has started, my ability to get much sewing done has decreased significantly, but I have compensated by staying up later and getting very little sleep. Here are a few recent projects. Emersyn is in LOVE with Elmo (I think I have stated that once or twice) so I broke down and bought her some Elmo fabric and made her an Elmo blanket. It is a raggy flannel quilt and I actually liked it much more than I thought I would (despite the annoying red puppet on it). This is supposed to be a Christmas present, but every time Em sees it she has to point out EVERY single Elmo on it. Then she dances:) I don't know if I can keep it from her until Christmas. As you can see, Atty wanted to model for me--she is such a weird kitty!!

I also finished up this fall tablerunner. Just in time for the first day of fall. I am also working on matching place mats, but they still need to be quilted and bound (may make it by October).

Christmas is fast approaching (not to mention a bunch of babies), so this is the current state of my craft table. A DISASTER!!! I need to finish about 10 projects so I can even move around in the sewing room. If all of the stuff didn't cost me so much, I think I might throw all of my unfinished projects in the trash and start over.

The view from in front of my machine. This is how I sew--with a view of this crazy hair-do!!! My crazy kid LOVES to color while I sew--but only if she can be on the sewing table. We compromise---she colors on paper tacked to the wall and I don't make her get off. Sadly right after these pictures were taken she color colored my wall and all crafting was OVER!!!!
I cannot wait until she gets REAL hair--instead of feathers:)

What else have we been up too??? Cheer practice. Em and I load up and head to Connell in the afternoons to hang out with these crazy girls.

Today is craft day with Amy and Delaney, so hopefully I have a few more finished projects to share---but I might just have MORE started projects:(
