Goodbye summer HELLO Fall

Well Fall has arrived and I am once again behind. We had some fun and busy days at the end of summer and made the best of the last warm days. Gracee turned 2 and we took the 3 crazies to Howard Amon Park. They still manage to crack me up...they like to play together--separately. They are not into sharing or even being in the same area at the same time. Getting them all 3 in the same place for this picture was pretty much a miracle and I am pretty sure there were a few tears caused by it.

We sent Em down the big kid slide a few times and she came out crying, backwards, and pissed. We also heard her head knocking around on the way down--oops. Then we realized there was a little kid part of the park--double oops. She was a MUCH happier kid in little kid country.

Don't they almost seem to be getting along??? I actually think they are fighting over this poor fish:)

Swing Swing!!!

We have also been enjoying the football games. Last week was Homecoming. I spent my time chatting it up with Tricia and Marcie and noticed the game once or twice. Em rolled down the hill, harassed the Peterson kids, ate lots of candy, rolled down the hill some more, ran out onto the track (headed to the field), made her mommy sprint down the hill to get her, laughed like crazy at her sprinting mommy, and did it ALL over again. She loved it!!!

Oh yeah AND she unpacked Tricia Peterson's purse---good thing she is soooo cute:)

I recently took a day off from practice and headed to Hermiston (my future home). We visited the Wieseler's and messed up THEIR house. It was a mental health day for me and I went with a rubbermaid tub full of projects to work on. Amy and I had BIG crafting plans. Then reality hit and we worked on baby shower invitations for who knows how many hours, chased the girls around and completed basically nothing. Then Todd and I went house-hunting (not the funnest activity for my day off). FINALLY Amy and I got crafty and accomplished one small project. We made our little Elmo addicts Elmo pillowcases. Now they both have Elmo blankies and pillows (actually Em doesn't actually have an Elmo blankie until Christmas--shhh).

During our work day we were not watching the girls quite like we should and they disappeared. They ended up in the backyard. How did they escape????? Well Em was later caught in the act. Yes--that is a doggy door. Crack me up!!!

I have also completed a few more quilting projects (almost completed actually). This quilt is a Christmas present for an unsuspecting family member. Imagine the trees right side up. Em thinks when I lay things out they are playmats, so she helped model this quilt. It is hard to tell, but it is a man quilt--the fabric has fish, moose, bears, birds, plaid, etc. I think it turned out really cool, but am at my usual quilting dilemma. I think I am going to open the purse strings and pay to have it quilted----it is just too nice for me to ruin with my faulty quilting skills.

I also accomplished another of my goals--using up some leftover fabric. I am planning to use up my leftover fabric this winter before buying ANY new fabric (we shall see how long that lasts). This was ALL leftover from my Fall tablerunner and placemats. It was a pattern from Moda Bake Shop for a tabletopper, but I thought it was large enough to be a quilt. SOOO I made it for our living room. It is a disappearing 9 patch and was SOOOO fun and easy to make. This is a keeper pattern and I WILL be making it in multiple colors. (Thanks Marcie for explaining this pattern and turning me on to disappearing 9 patch with your AMAZING quilt).

Atty gives this one her stamp of approval. I am busy busy with cheer, showing the house, looking for new houses, cleaning the house for people to come look at, and of course pumping out some more Christmas presents (quilts). Happy Fall everyone--I hope you love this weather as much as I do!!!!
