21 months and counting!!!

My darling girl turned 21 months on the 28th and I thought it was about time for an update. It has taken me a few days to come to terms with the fact that she is almost two, but I guess I cannot do a darn thing about it.
She is changing every day and is really starting to look and act like a big girl. Here is a little list of her new favorite things. . .

1. She knows her colors. Red, blue, green, brown, black, orange, yellow, and my favorite--purple. She can name them and point them out (what do you expect from a kid who would rather color than eat???)
2. She loves to color. In coloring books, on any sort of paper, on her easel, with chalk, you name it. She will color for hours and hours.
3. She has learned to sing along and loves music. She can sing along to "Elmo's Song" "The Wheels on the bus" "You Make Me Wanna Shout" and "If You're Happy and You Know It." She also likes to do the moves to "Head Shoulders Knees and Toes" but has not gotten the words down. You might be wondering how she knows all of these--Russ and Paula got her a little Elmo Karaoke machine for Christmas and she LOVES it!!
4. She knows all of the Sesame Street Characters--she calls it Street Street. She knows Abby, Zoe, Elmo, Big Bird, Bert and Ernie, Oscar, Grover, and Tele. She can even do Burt's laugh, Ernie's laugh, and eat cookies like cookie monster--it is pretty funny to watch a one year old do impersonations:)
5. She has lots of new and funny words.
--kickin' (chicken--or any kind of meat)
--cock cock (peacock)
--boppit (she has been cracking us up with this one for a few months--STOP IT!!)
--bye bye--morrow (no matter if she is going into the other room, going to bed, or going to the car---it is always BYE SEE YA TOMORROW:))
I cannot think of any more. It seems like all day I crack up over her funny words but when I want to write them down---BLANK!!
6. She is really starting to love her toys. She builds with blocks and Lego's and then LOVES to tear things apart. She also loves puzzles, putting things inside each other--like money in the piggy bank, crayons in the box, books on the shelf--on and on.
7. She has become a huge helper. She picks up all of her toys and mess before taking a nap and then again before going to bed. It really makes a difference in my day to have that little bit of help.
8. She loves Baby Jesus. It started with the Nativity and her Christmas books. Then somehow she put it together that Baby Jesus is the same as the Jesus on the walls at church. So she is always pointing to the paintings during church and yelling BABY JESUS!! Last week she stood up(right in the middle of sacrament meeting), pointed to a guy with long hair and a long beard, and yelled "Baby Jesus Momma, Baby Jesus!!" Over and OVER and OVER!! She really thought Baby Jesus had come to visit her:) She also loves to read her books about Baby Jesus and when it is time to go to bed I always have to tell her "No more Baby Jesus tonight." Talk about making me feel guilty:)
9. She adores her baby dolls. She puts them to bed, pushes them in the stroller, and carries them all around. She wraps them up and rocks them "nigh nigh" and loves to feed them a bottle.
10. She still loves to watch Elmo, but also has started liking Curious George, Sid the Science Kid, and Tinkerbell. She believes that ALL fairies are Babies, but babies are NOT fairies. Logical I guess.
She is super fun and pretty much likes to just be left alone to play. She loves dancing and music. She really enjoys nursery and playing with other kids (most of the time). She copies anything we say. She also tries to copy anything said on tv. When watching Wheel of Fortune tonight she was repeating the letters after they would say them. She just wants to know ALL of the words. She really wants to talk and hates it when you do not understand. I swear she learns at least 10 new words every day and will come up with words I have no idea where she learned them. She hates having a dirty diaper and comes to find me (even in the shower) to tell me she has "tinky poop." She wants the "tinky OFF." She super loves candy and especially M&M's. She is a dare devil and loves to jump, flip, and climb. Her dad and I cannot come up with tricks that are too scary for her.

She is just growing up and becoming her own little person. I love her to death. Even though there were a few months that I wondered how we survived every day--now she is fun and happy most of the day. She naps and sleeps well most of the time now and I have ZERO complaints about her behavior. Actually the other day she put herself in the timeout chair:) She keeps us laughing ALL day and I love her to death!!!

For some reason she likes to drink out of the squirt bottle instead of a cup--who knows????

Her and Creete finally get along. Now that she can play with him, he kinda likes her. And YES I did eventually pick up the crayons off the floor--I realize they are in pretty much EVERY picture:)

She likes things in order. Like when she put her blocks together she wanted all of the blue ones in one row. She also likes to be a dork. Here is her CHEESY smile.

She loves her "color colors" (crayons) and for some reason tonight she put them all in her shirt and would not let me take them out. I guess she wanted to keep them safe:)

There is never a dull moment with Emersyn around and I am so glad Heavenly Father gave her to me to. She is growing up fast and makes me sooooo happy to me her mommy!! Oh and one more thing--her hair is finally growing and OCCASIONALLY I do ACTUALLY do it (not that you can tell from these pictures:))
