Happy Easter To All Of My PEEPS!!!

Easter Easter EASTER!!!  The last few days have been a sugary blur of family and fun.  Friday Jen and I got the kids together again to dye Easter eggs.  I was not sure Emersyn would like it a whole lot, but she LOVED IT!!! 

My mom and Dad came over to help, and my dad MAY have had more fun than the kids.  At one point my mom said "Johnny--let the kids do it!!!"  He was pretty funny.  He wanted to make stripey eggs and polka dot eggs.  He just could not stand to watch the kids make "ugly" eggs.  He was like a 65 year old 5 year old:)

The only bad part of the process....when the eggs ran out.  SO then they colored them again---which means many of our eggs ended up being brown because they were colored in many different colors.  Most of them ended up broken too because Emersyn pretty much THREW the eggs in the cups she was sooooo excited.

Enjoying the rewards.  Don't you love that her green hands are rubbing off onto the egg--yucko!!  If you look at her eyes you may notice that the green "egg eyes" has kinda given her black eyes.  She was a MESS!!!

When she went to eat lunch she finally realized her hands were green and could not figure out what to do about it.

Jen and I got the idea from THIS blog to make these rice krispey peep nests (Theres were cuter, but our tasted just as good-haha!!).  They were fun and easy and cute, but afterwards we were all in a bit of a sugar coma.  After all of the Easter candy I feel like a big fluffy Easter Peep!!!!
