Silly Goose!!!

Pretty much EVERY day I find a new reason to love this girl.  SHE CRACKS ME UP!!!  Today was no different.  After dinner she asked Todd if he would play BARBS with her...
Now to explain a little bit...BARBS is short for Barbie.  Somehow Emersyn has found that it is easier in life to abbreviate many things....Barbs (Barbie), Din (dinner), Blank (Blanket)...you get the idea.  She says they are nicknames.  See what I mean???  She is hilarious!!!
ANYWAY...tonight she wanted Todd to play Barbs.  Tonight though she wanted to play a BRAND NEW game.  We have played doctor, school, wedding, even Barbie jewelry party...but tonight she wanted to play HOLY GHOST.  Todd asked "How exactly do we play Holy Ghost??"  She told him...."Well, you have to fly around and be REALLY QUIET and tell Barb what to do."  Easy Enough!!!  So she was Barb...and Todd was Simon the chipmunk...AKA the Holy Ghost.  

So Barb was being mean to one of the other Barbs and Todd said..."Stop doing that Barb."   Emersyn quickly said....NO HOLY GHOST...you are supposed to be quiet!!!  Todd whispered...."Stop doing that Barb."  Emersyn looked right at him and said... (with a slight DUH in her voice) "DAD...You can't REALLY hear the Holy Ghost.  You are supposed to be so quiet that nobody can hear you." 

At this point I had pretty much lost control of myself.  I was laughing SOO hard.  BUT you know somewhere in that little Barb, Simon the Chipmunk, Holy Ghost moment was a little bit of truth.  I guess she was paying attention in Primary yesterday.  When she says things like that I just want to hug her and hold her tight and keep her 3 years old forever!!! 

A FEW MORE EMERYN MOMENTS FROM THIS WEEK...
Somewhere along the line I have explained to Emersyn about clothing that is appropriate and clothing that is inappropriate.  WELL she plays some dress up games on the ipad and she often comes to tell me that their clothes are NOT RE-propriate.  Or if we see someone at WalMart with a short skirt, or low shirt she will point them out and tell me that they are not re-propriate.  Saturday I came out with just my towel on to help Ethan.  Emersyn looked up and said...MOM...you look cute but that is NOT VERY re-propriate.   Hmmm??  I guess I better not go shopping in my towel:)

A favorite at our house right now....MAYBE even more than Barb for the moment is The Chipmunks.  We watch them, listen to them, play with them.  It is ALL about the Chipmunks....AND the Chipettes.  She has ALL of them from Happy Meals and often she even sleeps with them.  Well recently she learned how to look up Chipmunk videos on YouTube and it is 24 hour a day CHIPMUNKS at our house.  Well her favorite is the CHIPWRECKED movie trailer.  She runs around the house ALL day singing

If you are not familiar with Chipmunk lyrics, that is Lada Gaga sung by a 3 year old Chipette wannabe who apparently likes....

I mean who can blame her REALLY???  I actually tried to explain the word ROMANCE to her.  She just looked at me and rolled her eyes and said...MOM...that doesn't even make sense.  SOOO Roman Mans it is.  I think I like her version better:)

BUT I couldn't leave well enough alone and looked up Lada Gaga on YouTube for her.  She watched for a second and then said "Yuck Mom...why isn't Lady Gaga pretty...like girls are supposed to be???....Please put it back on the Chipmunks!!!"  She was SOOO not impressed!!!! 

SOOO I guess it will remain about the Chips and the Barbs at our house for a while...
