Happy belated birthday!!!!

So last month (I know I am way behind) Ethan turned ONE!!!  He had a great birthday and a SUPER FUN party and now he is a SUPER naughty little one year old with lots of new fun toys:)

He woke up in the morning to his presents.  We got him this car and he was pretty much a BIG FAN!!! 

 We also got him A LOT of sand.  We decided on a construction party and so the MAIN activity was SAND!!!  All Ethan wants to do is dig in the dirt, so we thought what better birthay gift than bringing the DIRT inside and giving him permission to make a mess!!!

 He thought it was fun to dump the sand OUT of the sandbox...over and over and OVER!!!

 I made Ethan a construction zone cake.  I think I had MORE fun making this cake than I did at the party:) 

 The cake even cooperated and cracked...just like a good construction zone...haha!!!  NO that was not on purpose!!!

 Each of the kids got their party favors as they walked in the door so they could GET DIGGING!!!! 

 Ethan took his diggin VERY seriously:)

 If we had not MADE him come inside to have cake and open presents, I think he would STILL be out their digging!!

 It was a big hit with the girls too!!!  I LOVE them all in their hats....TOOO cute.  Of course they were all too busy to look at me though.

 Ethan didn't know that cake was coming, so he went ahead and filled up on sand first.

AND....just because....His sister is pretty stinking amazingly cute too!!!!

 PRESENTS!!!!  Todd and I got him the car AND a toddler swing for our swingset.  FOR ONCE I picked the perfect gifts!!!  I love it when that happens:) 

 We spend A LOT of time EVERY day pushing him around our house in his car.  Around the kitchen....into the living room....around the family room...and back.  He LOVES IT!!! 

 This is ETHAN'S version of Peek-A-Boo!!! 

 Em loves to push him too.  Sometimes she gets crazy, but he likes it....THE CRAZIER THE BETTER!!!  He is an adrenaline junkie already!!!

 He managed to act interested through opening a COUPLE presents at his party.

 But he pretty much just wanted to climb....in the car....out of the car....in the car....out of the car....

 ...into the swing....out of the swing....you get the picture!!!

 He had a pretty cute little audience!!!  These girls are seriously TOOO cute.  Someday I think we will be in BIG trouble!!! 

Emersyn, Delaney, Gracee, Kennedy, and Katori (maybe not in that order).  That is A LOT of 3/4 year old girls for ONE family to handle!!!

Ethan did NOT disappoint when it came to cake time.  He was IN LOVE with the cake.  Kelly....here are the CAKE FACE pictures for you.  I tried to just pick a few....trust me there are about a hundred more that I DIDN'T include:) 

Funny Story....While Ethan was painting himself with cake my mom said something like...someone should go get a mirror.  WELLLLL...apparently Emersyn overheard her and took off after a mirror.  YEP...she brought the mirror RIGHT off of the wall in our bedroom.  She lugged it all the way out to the kitchen for mom.  THAT GIRL CRACKS ME UP!!!!

 WELL...the birthday was a success as far as first birthdays go.  He bounced in the bounce house, dug in the dirt, played with his friends, got some new toys, and ate cake.  AND I GOT THE CAKE FACE PICTURES!!!  PERFECT:)
