Twas the Sunday before Christmas...

You know when your kids look SOOOO cute and you want to capture their cuteness forever by taking a picture???  Well that was the Sunday before Christmas at our house.  And THEN I remembered why I never try to take pictures of these two AT THE SAME TIME!!!  Because I have ONE super sweet cooperative kid, and one NOT super sweet cooperative kid.  I will let you decide for yourself which is which:) 

I don’t know how he can resist Emersyn’s sweet little smile, but he was having NONE of it!!1 

I MAY have even resorted to begging his dad to HOLD him still.  Check out that stiff little body.  You cannot MAKE him do ANYTHING!  I realize at this point people would LOVE to point out the irony in ME having a stubborn child....please keep your comments to yourself.  I realize paybacks suck and that Karma is NO BUENO....I still don’t find the humor in it. 

After a failed attempt at bribery...fruit snacks SHOULD have done the trick....we changed our plan.  DIVIDE AND CONQUER!!  Guess which kid got it on the first try????

Maybe he will sit nicely on his daddy’s lap????  NOPE.  (I would like to point out that TODD’S smile was awfully nice in the background though...haha)

Maybe I can get a picture of him while he is rolling around on the floor like a crazy rabid monkey....NOPE!!

FINE...if he wants to stand on the stairs and get his picture with the cat I guess that will work.  Not exactly picture perfect, but better than nothing I guess....GRRR. 

And FINALLY a small breakthrough.  HURRY...he is sitting...EVERYBODY pose QUICK!!!  Not exactly the pictures I was imagining....BUT a PERFECT picture of what our Sunday mornings are REALLY like.

I think the REAL deal changer was when Em put her hands on her hips and said “Ethan, if you don’t sit still and let mommy take your picture then Santa is going to put you on the naughty list.”  CHEESE!!!!   You just cannot argue with the naughty list...
