4th of July

We had a good fourth. Dad really wanted to go somewhere and camp or go boating, but I was not quite up to camping with Emersyn yet. So everyone ended up coming to our house. Creete was the entertainment of the day. His mom had to work, so he was only under the control of his dad (who was sick) and grandma and grandpa. So needless to say he was running around like a crazy monkey. Again he wanted to play with Emersyn. We told him that she doesn't really play yet. He found her one toy though and wanted to play with her. So they crowded unter her toy and "played." She pretty much just kept looking at him like "what the heck are you doing and why are we laying under this thing?" But at least Creete felt like having a cousin was kinda fun for once. She didn't make it to watch the fireworks this year, but maybe she will be able to stay up later next year. Creete didn't make it for fireworks either. His dad had enough and took him home before it even got dark:)

Since Emersyn got held so much on the fourth, she wanted to be held on the 5th also. I needed to get a few things done, so finally I thought I would try putting her into her highchair (since nothing else had worked). She actually liked it as long as I was in the same room. So I sat at the table and got my primary lesson ready for Sunday. She just looked around and had a good time.

Todd's family came from Bridgeport and his Grandma took us out to eat at IHOP. By the way the peach and pecan pancakes are delicious. The carrot cake ones are great too. I wouldn't recommend them for breakfast, but they make a yummy dinner. I bet pot-heads really like them at 3 in the morning too:)

Emersyn tried to be good while sitting in her carseat, but finally she got the hiccups and enough was enough!! Daddy got her to sleep though. Todd's grandma thought it was so cute that they wanted me to take a picture. They do look pretty cute together. She kinda likes her daddy I think:)
OK--THIS IS A MIRACLE--I had to include pictures because I knew that anybody who actually knew Aticus would not believe me without proof. I was holding my little kitty cat and Todd put his hands up, so I handed Atty to him. I don't know what the heck happened, but she let him hold her. He was petting her and everthing.
IT GETS BETTER!! She even layed down in his lap. It all lasted less than five minutes, but it was crazy. I think she is just not getting enough love now that the baby has stolen me away from her, but I never thought she would start to like A BOY:)

Are you sure you didn't photoshop those pictures of Atty? I also like that Todd looks a little terrified in the first picture- like she might change her mind and attack at any minute. Counting the days till the ocean!!

Jess!! The pictures are adorable! Emersyn is getting so big...I may need to come home just to see you guys! Todd, congrats on the Atty break-through. That's impressive. :) miss you all so much and I'm definitely looking forward to cheer starting again! The lake is great. All the extra relatives left today so its back to peace and quiet. If you and Emersyn get bored, let me know and I'll give you directions to paradise!

Whatever that is NOT Atty, that must be some kind of body-double maybe a stunt kitty or something, certainly not Atty. I am sure glad Emersyn likes the lion I was a little worried she might be a hippo lover. If you guys get hot one of these days you should come over and go swimming.
P.S. I think it’s funny that you were telling me what to get at IHOP :)Actually I just ate there tonight, (Wed. IHOP night) with Grannie & Gramps
