SOOOO--we had some fun on our trip to the ocean. It was a blast spending time with Fran, Jake, Kraeton, Gracee, Laney, Amy, and Ryan. Although having three babies in the house slowed things down a bit, it was still a good time. The first day that we decided to wander down to the beach was a little cold. Emersyn was not so sure about it. She had to stay in her seat because the wind was blowing the sand around and it was super cold. I even put little mittens on her which whe WAS NOT happy about. She ended up getting mad and we spent some quality time in the car. I cannot wait until next year when she can maybe enjoy the beach a little bit more. She was a good girl though on the trip, which was nice. She was even good in her carseat. I thought we had learned to like the car finally, but the day after we returned she cried for 20 minutes when I put her in the seat. I guess it was just a temporary vacation from car ride tantrums.
Here she is HATING her mittons and hood. I may have gone a bit overboard, but I am a little protective of my little baby girl.
Our second day on the beach went MUCH better. She was happy for a few minutes, but at least we got a few happy pictures.
The boys got to go crabbing, golfing, and to the casino. Todd also got to watch Emersyn for the first time by himself. I could tell he was a little nervous. He had the deer in the headlight look as we walked out the door. But he did great. She was even napped and dressed when we got back. The boys had all three of the babies while we went and got pedicures. By the way it was the best massage EVER. I think he massaged my legs for twenty minutes. Well worth it.
I love this little grin. She got to put her feet in the sand--even though she was wearing footies. I think it is the thought that counts right. Again--the boys got to go play football and play in the water and the girls were on babysitting patrol:) But the weather was fantastic. Fran, Amy, and I plus the baby girls hit the outlet malls really hard. We went the first two days on our own and on the way home we got the guys to stop there again. I somehow even talked Todd into stopping at the Troutdale outlets on the way out of Portland. YEAHHHH--Gymboree:)
