Good news and bad news!!

ok--first with the bad news. Baby girl got the stomach flu. It was by far the saddest thing I could imagine. She started puking at about 7 last night and puked every 10-15 minutes after that. I was slightly traumatized. Lucky for me that my mom was here watching her and so she kept a more level head. We ended up taking her to the emergency room when she wouldn't eat and was dry heaving. It was horrible. She is such a sweetie though. She would puke and puke and puke and then look up at us and smile. Then she would lay back down and watch the olympics. It was too scary though because she was getting weaker and weaker and just layed around. By the time she got the IV put in she didn't even have the energy to cry. She was laying on the bed and would try to roll over--her favorite trick--but she just did not have the strength to flip over. She was soooo frustrated. She looked so helpless in the big hospital bed with her little Ronald McDonald hospital gown.

We ended up being in the hospital until about 2 o'clock, but were able to leave after she gulped down a bottle of pedialyte. Poor girl could only drink pedialyte today until noon and she was feeling a little empty.

Watching them put the IV in and watching her try to sleep with the tubes and stuff was so sad. I don't know how people handle having kids will long term illnesses. It must kill them. Everything is back on track though and she was a much more active happy baby today. From what I have heard, day 3 of this mean bug brings on vicious diarrhea. So we are crossing our fingers that somehow we miss that lovely experience.
Now for the good news--I got a new car. I am sad and excited. I loved my old car. It was my first new car and I am pretty attached to it, but it just wasn't big enough. My new car is a Honda Pilot--black. Amy I will post a picture later. Todd took one for you, but it turned out too dark. Well--that was our exciting day. I hope everyone else stays healthy--Amy my fingers are crossed for you.

It is definitely hard having little kids be sick. Not much you can do for them at that age. Glad your mom was there to help out.
