Here is my favorite Christmas outfit. Todd brought this home for Emersyn one day (yes he spent real money) and I thought it was so cute. 1. because it is sweet and 2. because daddy bought it for her. So she is our little santa baby this year. I mean really how many years can you shamelessly dress your kid up like santa?? I figure I better enjoy it while I can:)
We took a 2nd try at Santa at the ward Christmas party. This is as close to Santa as Emersyn was wanting to get. She literally broke down before we even got in the door. It was like she could feel the presence of Santa in the air. She did try out his lap for a second (still screaming) but it was too quick to campture on camara. Oh well--maybe next year.
We thought maybe we could try out the elves, but no dice--Emersyn hates elves, gingerbread men, frostys, and anything related to Christmas:)
Ok--moving past Chrismas horror. Before Emersyn was born she received a couple cute little robes and I have not taken her picture in them yet. So the other day after her bath I thought that she needed a quick photo shoot. She instantly turned into a Victoria's Secret model and started striking poses--I don't know where she gets this stuff from.
I guess this is her sexy face:)
She quickly got bored with me and continued watching TV--still one of her favorite pastimes.
I finally caught a smile, but cut off part of her head. You get the idea though!!
Here Emersyn is really getting into her dinner. Apparently she is also contemplating dessert too:) She cracks me up.
Ok--the next Christmas party we went to was at Amy and Ryan's. We made gingerbread houses and had a great time. Here is Gracelyn and Emersyn getting ready to fight over their favorite toy. Notice Emersyn is keeping her eye on the dog--not a big fan. Every time he would get close to her she screams and cries like he is murdering her. She thinks her face is clean enough and does not need to be doggy licked.
Jake and Todd had to come and finish the gingerbread disasters that Fran and I had started. Actually Fran's was pretty good. My problems started when I actually had to constuct the train--I did not know they had pre-made houses. Next year's competition is going to be WAY different.
Kraeton and his prize winning Gingerbread Tree. He was pretty proud of his creation.
Here is the Perkin's finished train. Todd helped it out a little, but it took a quick trip to the garbage can right after this. It seemed like such an easy idea, but it was way too tricky for me.
Thanks for the fun party Wieselers!! We love you guys!!
ok--continuing on. Emersyn gets a little restless when I am cooking dinner, so I decided to let her help-from the floor. She thought she was pretty hot stuff with her spoons. It kept her busy until she started eating all of the little treasures she was finding on my kitchen floor!!! I thought my floor was pretty clean--I guess not.
