1. Standing up. She pulls herself up and stands. She doesn't really know what to do after that, so she just stands there for long periods of time. Actually she doesn't want to do anything else except stand there. Sometimes she walks along the edge of the couch or table and it really freaks Todd out. He even bought a coffee table without sharp edges because he wanted her to be safer. It is actually hard to convince Emersyn that she cannot in fact walk yet. Sometimes she just turns around and starts off across the room after something--except she can't walk. she just falls over and then gets a look on her face like "oh yeah--I forgot--I DON'T know how to do that yet!"
She also likes to hang out with her friends. Here is her and Delaney enjoying their favorite store in the mall-Gymboree. Delaney likes to watch tv and Emersyn likes to watch Delaney:) While Amy and I were shopping, we just had to park them facing each other so they could talk.
Delaney was really enjoying her trip too:)
Another favorite--clapping. She thinks that just about anything is worthy of some applause. She especially loves patty cake, but just clapping in general is pretty enjoyable.
She is currently practicing for her future career as a track star. She still army crawls instead of real crawling, but she likes to get herself up into crawling position. Sometimes she spends a long time trying to push herself up to walking. I think she will be walking pretty soon--sadly.

Being naked--that is very high on her list of things to do. She also really likes to read books. I think she would be happy if we could sit in the chair and read stories all day. I wish she enjoyed my books, cause I gotta tell you I am WAY bored of Good Night Moon.

And Mommy's favorite things--Christmas dresses. My mom wanted to get Emersyn a Christmas dress, and ended up getting FOUR because she couldn't decide. So I put them each on Emersyn and let Todd pick. This is the winner.
Another of mommy's favorites--DAYS OFF. I went to the Nutcracker with my friends this weekend and it truly saved my sanity. I almost forgot that I have not slept a whole night in over a year--ALMOST!! But we did have a great time and I wish EVERY day was girls day.

She looks soooooo pretty in her dress. Nice choice by the way.
The pictures of her in her diaper crack me up because she looks like she's ready to start the race. I did track in school, maybe she is taking after me !?!? : )
