OK--so sometimes I get bright ideas and don't really think them through all the way. This was one of those projects. I wanted to make Marcie something special for Christmas because of all of the nice things she does for me, Emersyn, the cheerleaders, EVERYONE!! So I decided to make her a memory quilt. I had each of the girls from the football cheer squad make a square and then I made a square for Emersyn and I. The one downfall to my plan is that I had no plan or pattern, or idea what the heck I was going to do. I just went to the store, bought too much fabric and started cutting up white squares. Then I gave them to the girls, got them back and still had no plan. So I started cutting more squares and did the front. Then I had no idea what to do on the back because of the amounts of fabric I had (or didn't have). So as usual I improvised!! It actually turned out cuter than I thought it would, so I thought I would share.

Here is the back side.

Lucky for me, Marcie does not know how to sew, so she will not notice all of my mistakes. I did learn a lot though (I learned once again that I need to stop procrastinating) and I know I can do better next time (whenever that may be).
I am sure somebody is feeling bad that I am showing Marcie's gift before Christmas, but I am actually meeting up with her tonight. The cheerleaders and us are going on a cheer date to watch the elite cheerleaders perform. So by the time this is posted, she should already have the surprise:)
