Busy days of doing nothing

I always think that I don't have anything to blog about because we have not accomplished anything. Then I download the pictures off of the camara and remember that we have been doing lots of non-things. Amy and I got the girls out of the house the other day and hit the play area at the mall. Emersyn mostly just ran around checking out all of the kids and saying hi to everyone, but she did take a little time to cruise in the rocketship.

We also had our last swimming lessons last week. On Wednesday my mom and Todd came down to watch the excitement--so we got some pictures in the pool--LOTS OF PICTURES (here are a few).

Playing with the toys in the shallow end was Em's favorite part. She didn't want to learn to swim, she wanted to play around.

Debuting her skills. She could move her arms like a dog and kick kick her legs. Not at the same time though--maybe next year:)

Not a big fan of floating on her back.

Friday was her final lesson and Grandma Marilee came and acted as adoring fan and photographer. By then Emersyn had mastered going under water, blowing bubbles, and kick kicking her legs--I think she is a natural:) Of course her favorite part was still the toys.

Showing off for Laney (love those piggies).

Hi Grandma!!!

At the end of the lesson we found out we were going down the slide. Amy and I were a little sad about that, but we climbed up and went for it. They warned us about dropping your kid at the bottom and how they could go under the water---blah blah. It was slightly terrifying. But it ended up being easy and nobody dropped their kid.

Neither Laney nor Emersyn was too excited about the slide, so I don't think we will have to be trying it again any time soon. No tears at the bottom, but no smiles either. More like deer in the headlights.
Emersyn got to go hang out with Grandma Marilee and her new doggy after swimming lessons. She tried out Ralphie's (the dog) bed and found it acceptable.

Typical Emersyn face. I love it. She is a goofball and keeps things interesting.
I am glad swimming lessons are over because the drive to Hermiston was a pain, but I am sad too because I miss the 3 hour naps Em took after swimming for 30 minutes. It almost makes me wish we had a pool.
