For the first time in her life Emersyn actually enjoyed swinging. Up until now, she has cried and freaked out in swings--including her baby swing. I thought I would give it a shot and she was even laughing (briefly).

She tested it out last night and fell in love. It made watching ELMO for the 100 time (yesterday) a whole lot more comfortable. She still loves Elmo the most, but the pillow is in the top 5 I think.

This morning when Em woke up ( in her crib after sleeping through the entire night--YAY) she was standing in her crib trying to lift the pillow. She did not want to get out of her crib without her pillow. What a cooky kid!!! Speaking of her cookiness, she has another morning ritual. After she wakes up and we head out to the livingroom she takes either my hand or Todd's and leads us to the tv. Then she tries to get us to turn on the tv. Seriously she does not give up until Elmo appears. Then she dances around the room singing and clapping and being way to excited for 630 in the morning. I hope Em loves me half as much as she loves Elmo these days:)
Gracee wasn't thrilled that Emersyn was hogging HER baby swing, but she tried out the big girl swing and found it was pretty cool too. I think some day her and Em will get a long, but for now they pretty much just tolerate each other:)
This week I finally got back into my sewing room. I have taken some time off after making all of the graduation quilts, plus I cleaned and rearranged the room and added some shelves. After that I didn't want to risk making a mess so I stayed away. I have finished a quilt, but I am sending it off to the quilter to be finished. I also finished a tablerunner but need to quilt it. I have 2 quilts cut out and in partial started phases. So soon there will be some pictures and progress to report again. Yesterday though Amy and I hit Craft Warehouse and Costco together with the girls (it seemed like a good idea before we went). We lived through it, but barely. Just to give you an idea of the chaos, I had to change Em's outfit twice and my car now has a pee spot AND a poop stain in the back end. That is just the tip of the "going shopping with the girls" iceburg too. ANYWAY...I decided that I wanted to try making pillow cases, so I bought a kit and some fabric and tested it out last night.
The yellow was from the kit, and I did not LOVE the fabric, but I needed the pattern and instuctions from the kit so that I could make my own. So Em is the proud owner of a new ballerina pillow.

I tested out one of the fancy stitches on my machine that I have never used and thought it turned out super cute.
Since Em pretty much needs 2 of everything (or 7) I also made this one. It was flannel and she loved it because it was soft. I am not gonna lie, I was a little jealous of her new soft pillowcase.
