Girls Weekend!!

I have still not caught my blog up to my life, so here goes. The weekend after returning from Seaside was GIRLS WEEKEND!!! It was planned ahead and well needed. I have literally been counting down the days since about---Oh I don't know...Christmas:) It was the first night I have left Emersyn over night and it was well worth the wait. Amy, Bobbie, Fran and I headed over to Seattle for a concert. We knew Kenny would be there waiting for us, but we were surprised about all of the great acts at the concert. Actually much of the fun happened on the way from the hotel to the Qwest Field--we had some road rage, some honking, some inappropriate hand gestures and some fun. Then we got to park in downtown at a re-hab center and hope that the druggies were having a good day and were not interested in 4 hot mommys.

First we started with Lady Antebellum--which honestly I did not listen too. There was too much to see and I was way to excited to pay attention. Then there was Miranda Lambert--not a fan. She was weird and sang songs I did not know. Then I invested in a lemonade the size of my bath tub and was REALLY excited about Montgomery Gentry. Franny was in love with the one singer and that is when the dancing started. We also were entertained by the freaks and drunks enjoying the concert with us--almost more entertaining than the singers. Then we had Sugarland--who were amazing and then finished off with Kenny Chesney--my man.

These pictures really don't do us justice because we had to take them of ourselves--we actually looked freaking hot!!! It was so funny to see the little 20 year old girls in the slutty country clothes. We just kept laughing at them in their little skirts and boots and cowboy hats--Amy kept telling them "you know you are not ACTUALLY going to meet Kenny, RIGHT??" I remember what it was like to try so hard---but it still makes me laugh.

Kenny is the hot guy on the trapeze if you are having trouble spotting him. He popped out of a tent and flew above the crowd--FYI-I called it and Amy said it was impossible. I WAS RIGHT!!! I even took a picture of the box they brought Kenny in right before he popped out. Me and Kenny are like "this" so obviously I had the inside scoop!!!

Kenny was by far the most amazing peformer. We were on our feet the whole time and the ENTIRE crowd was singing and dancing. I have never been to a concert that was soo much fun. It is amazing that EVERY person knows the words to ALL of his songs. It has got to be so fun to be him!!!
Franny and Amy singing along.
Our seats were WAYYYY up on the top, but the view of Seattle was very cool.
This is the crazy party moms:) Don't we look CrAzY??? Well it was more fun than changing diapers and eating cereal that is for sure. Actually it was pretty funny....When we got there they had to look through our purses. Well I had not changed my purse, so it was still a purse/diaper bag. The girl in front of me in line was in a little skirt about "this" big and cowboy boots with flasks hidden in them. I was not in a skirt "this" big and was carrying my diaper bag. The guy going through the bags was laughing because I had diaper wipes, an open and spilled package of fruit snacks, and some contraband fishy crackers--how sexy huh??? He just shook his head at me and let me go. I was like "what--so I brought my diaper bag to meet Kenny..."
Anyway....it was a great night. We were at the concert from 4-11:30, which was way later than my usual nights. Then we hit Applebees at like 130--I miss eating out in the middle of the night. Then we stayed up till 330 or so talking and then slept without interuptions. It was the best night sleep ever:) Then the next day was Starbucks, and outlet malls and girlie fun. Thanks for the good weekend off Girlies!!! LOVE YA!! Now that I have had 1 weekend off from baby nights, I quickly had #2 and really am ready for night #3 if anyone is interested in having a slumber party with Emersyn......anyone????

Fun! I'm jealous! My husband LOVES Kenney and always wants to go. It does look like a blast. I've never been to a huge concert like that. I'm glad you all got away from diaper duty for a night. Definately worth it!
