Ok....So we have been home for 2 weeks and I have not posted a picture, blog update, facebook status or ANYTHING about our trip. I was just SOOO TIRED. And to make matters worse Ethan is sleeping EVEN WORSE now that we are home. So here is a better late than never post about DAY 1 of our trip. BTW..I will warn that the pictures are mostly from my phone...so do not expect much clarity...I found my REAL camara on day 2:)
Day 1 started with an early morning flight. We packed up the kids at a bit before 5 am and started our day. I cannot complain about the way the kids acted on the plane. Emersyn LOVED it. The first time we took of Emersyn said..."Guess what mom...this is my VERY FIRST time on an airplane." She is such a sweetie!!!

Ethan was another story on the plane. I don't think ANYONE was thrilled to be by a baby at 645 in the morning, but he did his best. He also learned a new word...DA DA!! Todd was sitting a few rows ahead of us and for the ENTIRE flight he would stand up and yell DA DA!! I have WANTED him to learn another word besides Momma, but it was NOT great timing.
Another funny flight story...
As we sat on the runway in Salt Lake waiting to taxi out Emersyn said..."Mommy...Are we there yet???" Everyone laughed at us hysterically. Poor girl didn't even know we had not taken off yet. It took A LOT of snacks and A LOT of color books to get us through that last leg, BUT WE MADE IT.
After a 2 hour shuttle ride with 2 sleeping kids on me we FINALLY made it to the ship. We checked in and then found out that THE CARS were at the dock. We got to see Lighting McQueen AND Mater. The kids were too tired to care at that point, but Todd and I were pretty excited:)
Once we found our room Emersyn was MOST excited about having her own desk. I was MOST excited about having a place to sit down and put my feet up. Half way through day ONE and I was already learning that carrying around an 18 month old for a week was going to be ROUGH!!!
First exciting moment on the boat...ICE-CREAM for lunch. Emersyn had been telling EVERYONE that she was going to get to eat ice-cream whenever she wanted and SHE DID!!!

What can liven up a tired traveling crew??? A PRINCESS SIGHTING OF COURSE!!
We spotted Cinderella and Emersyn was BEAMING!!! At this point I KNEW that we had made the right choice. This was Emersyn's DREAM!!!
For disembarkation we had a CELEBRATION!! The Disney characters came out and had a dance party with the kids.
It was sooo cute...a bunch of little kids dancing with Mickey....SOOOO FUN!!!
Somewhere in this mass of dancing kiddos is Todd and Emersyn. She go right into the midst of it and LOVED IT!!!
We took a quick tour of the Kid's Club and GUESS WHAT MY KIDS FOUND???? Yep...computers. They had a whole Disney WONDERLAND and they went straight to the computers!!!
For Dinner we got to eat in the Animator's Palate. It was a super cool restaurant that was covered in black an white pictures of ALL of the disney movie characters. Throughout the meal the pictures started to gain color and by the end the whole room was in color. It was pretty magic. AND of course Emersyn had ice-cream with dinner!!
She was so excited that you could SEE the ocean out of the windows. I don't think she actually understood that we were going to be floating ON the ocean until she saw the water all around us:)
After dinner we went to one of the family clubs and enjoyed an evening of live music and DANCING. We danced with each other, the kids danced with other kids, the whole family danced in a circle. It was SUPER cute.
This is how a tired boy dances. Our kids were so pooped that Emersyn actually ASKED to go back to the room and go to bed. That is a sign of a good vacation...TIRED KIDS=SUCCESS!!!
