Disney Cruise Day 3 (San Francisco)

I miss being on vacation!! I had to go back through my pictures tonight JUST to remind me that life CAN be fun...It WAS fun recently...and it WILL be fun again SOME DAY!!!  Anyway...our 3rd day we arrived in SAN FRANCISCO!!!  I made the mistake of reading the daily calendar BEFORE going to bed.  It mentioned that at 530 am we would be traveling under the GOLDENGATE BRIDGE!!  I woke up at 445 and thought...why not wait it out.  Sooo I cuddled up with my iphone and started my lookout.  BUT the only thing to see was black and water...not exciting.  AND then at 545...more black and more water.  APPARENTLY they were a little off schedule.  I should have gone back to bed...but I waited it out and eventually out of the black and the water came...A BRIDGE!!!  It was amazing.
 Then we got closer...
 And closer...
And then I woke up Todd....
and then we were UNDER the bridge!!!
 A---MAY---ZING!!!
Can you IMAGINE how big a bridge has to be for a CRUISE ship to go UNDER IT????  So cool!!
Next, Ethan woke up and joined the party.  He LOVED the tugboats!!!
He had SOO much to see.  Tugboats pulling us to shore, birds flying past the window, and then ALL OF THE SUDDEN...A city appeared. What a beautiful city!!!
We floated right past everything...what a view!!
And then that little boat tugged us RIGHT into our parking spot.  I cannot even parallel park my van and that tiny boat parked A CRUISE SHIP!!!
Once we got parked, Emersyn woke up and we got to watch sea lions diving next to the ship.  If you look closely you can see Alcatraz over Ethan's shoulder.
You JUST dont get mornings like that in Tri-cities.  Tugboats and sea lions and all 4 of us hudled around a tiny windo looking at ocean views.  AWESOME!!!
Since I had ACTUALLY been up since the BREAK of dawn, I decided to go down and check out the running track.  I LIKE running by the river at home....but running at the OCEAN...sooo cool!!!
Next, we headed down to the pier for a little shopping and site seeing.  Emersyn spotted the carousel..and even though I get horrible motion sickness...I BRAVED THE HORSES.  It was worth it.  Emersyn and Ethan LOVED it.  Emersyn picked out a mermaid horse and Ethan and I waved and laughed the whole time!!
While we were at the pier checking out all of the sea lions, another cruise ship rolled in.  It was SOOO neat to see how BIG it really was and how it drove right up to the pier.
Todd was still drooling over Alcatraz...but seriously...I was not taking my kids for a boat ride and a prison tour...NO WAY!!!
Emersyn and I got to be goofy...what we do best!!!
We hit up The Rainforest Cafe.  It was hilarious...MY kid who is afraid of REAL animals and people DRESSED as animals, wanted to go and see the FAKE animals...GO FIGURE.  Ethan however was TERRIFIED of the fake gorilla and elephant...he was fine until they moved or made noise.  Emersyn was not scared until the HUGE SNAKE (fake) appeared:)
NEXT on the list...we FINALLY did something that Daddy wanted to do...The Wax Museum and Ripley's Believe it or Not.  If you would like to see pictures of EVERY SINGLE FAKE WAX PERSON...come on over.  Todd took a picture of each one.  I will spare you though...

We took THIS picture for Creete...
Emersyn and Daddy dancing in the kaleidoscope room...
ok...so I could either get the kaleidoscope OR them....
SOOO...part of our tickets got us into a MIRROR MAZE.  We were not so sure about it, but decided to since we already paid for it.  NOT A GOOD IDEA.  We had to wear gloves so that we would not mark the glass...PLUS it was NOT FUN.  I think Emersyn was secretly terrified.  Todd REALLY worked hard to get us through.  I was having a SLIGHT (HUGE) bit of claustrophobia.  And after a few minutes and a few bonks into the glass...WE MADE IT BACK TO THE BEGINNING.  Nope...not the end.  THE BEGINNING.  We had just gone in a big circle.  They offered to let us go again, but we had had enough MIRROR MAZE for one day (lifetime).
Welll...after all of the fun times at the pier AND the stroller wheel falling off (yes that made for a fun day), we headed back to the ship.
The kiddos were pooped and San Francisco was NOT as warm as we had expected and we were ALL ready for bed!!

TOOOOO bad it was only lunch time....vacationing is HARD WORK:)
