Winter Randomness

This winter has not been super cold, but it HAS seemed to drag on and on.  The kids are stir crazy and I am just plain crazy.  We have been desperate for indoor activities to keep us from losing our cold little minds.
Ethan took the time to learn how to dress himself...sadly he is only able to put on his sister's clothes because they are plenty big.  The best part is that he is SOOO stinking proud of himself after he does it.  He was ALSO pretty proud of where he put the bottle....look closely:)

Good thing he is so stinking cute!!!
We have also spent some time under the table.  This particular day had MOMMY at the end of her rope.  What does a crazy person do when her kids are making her dizzy????  Throw up a fort.  These little cuties were so happy in their little fort together.  I LOVE IT WHEN THEY PLAY TOGETHER!!!!
We got to go watch Boy Scout Creete race his derby car.  It was NOT easy to keep Ethan from TOUCHING the cars, but we had a good time.
When things got REALLY scetchy, we even attempted a few crafts.  Fruit Loop necklaces is the best I could come up with on short notice.
Kid ONE was thrilled with hers.  She took her time and even made a pattern....LOVE HER!!!
Ethan ate fruit loops while I made him a necklace.

And then he ATE the necklace!!!  His was gone in about 30 seconds...he just wore around a sticky ratty piece of string all night.
We moved promptly onto fingerpainting.  I saw cute fingerprint heart trees on Pinterest and thought Em would enjoy making one.  They started off making fingerprints and ended up with....
 Well....NOT heart trees!!
ONE of us worked hard on her tree....haha!!
Ethan has really come out of his shell this winter.  We have been regularly going to storytime at the library for most of his life and he FINALLY decided to join the kids on the stage for dancing time.  He also sits up by the big kids during the stories.  Mostly he interrupts and disrupts, but at least he is no longer on my lap....BABY STEPS!!!
He even tried reading a book to this little girl.  He pulled their chairs right next to her and even showed her the pictures.  It was by FAR the sweetest thing!!!
We are sooooo happy for the nice weather to return.  These winter days have been long and dark...Now we are ready for walks to the river, picnics at the park, and NO SHOES!!!!
Bring ON SPRING!!!!  We are READY!!!
