I made a ton of cereal because I am not an expert cereal maker and kept making it too thick or too thin. But Emersyn managed to eat most of it to my surprise. After being good for as long as she could, she took over the spoon and tried on her own.
She was so happy and excited after she finished. It must have felt good to have such a full and happy tummy:)
We had a Connell football game on Friday night. Marcie and I have been trying so hard to get the cheerleaders ready. We finally got some stunts. Not big exciting ones, but the girls were pumped to do any at all. Her are some pictures of the girls and their stunts.
Samson, Marcie's baby, joined us this week at the game. He had a shirt that said team mascot. Is he not the cutest?? He was just chillin' before the game started. Marcie reminded me of a funny story. Here goes.... Samson has a COACH collar. Like from the COACH store. (He might be spoiled, but he is worth it.) One of the teachers last year saw it and said "Oh how cute...did the cheerleaders get this for you??" Get it?? COACH?? Anyway it was a crazy teacher, so that made it even more funny.
Moving right along....more fun times at the football game. Emersyn's little secret admirer kept picking little clover flowers and bringing them to her. It was so sweet. He also would grab her cheeks and give her hugs--no kisses though--yuck. He wanted to start off slow:)
Two of my girlies joined us at the game, Maria Cerna and Maylinn Nunsit. They had a good time entertaining Emersyn. Or maybe she entertained them--who knows. Anyway they played and played.
They even tried to turn her into a gangster. At least I know that if she ever decides to be a gangster that she will be a dang cute one:)
On a side note, Maylinn has always been Emersyn's biggest fan--after Marcie. She bought her all sorts of gifts before and after she was born. She was also one of the firsts to come visit at the hospital. She also brought me lots of free chinese food while I was pregnant, so she helped make Emersyn the strong healthy girl that she is today. I am glad that I decided to retire after this year because I don't know how I would have managed to keep teaching without Maylinn---she was my right had gal and I love her to death.
Once again Emersyn was plumb tuckered out by the football game. By the way... the Eagles actually won this one. YAY!! Go Eags!!
