Pondering life's big questions...

So I have been wondering about something. Something big--HUGE maybe. So here goes....why are babies not just born with their teeth??? I mean what difference would it make??? It would look funny--YES, BUT if we were not already used to seeing little toothless, gummy smiles, then it would not seem at all weird--RIGHT?? I just feel like when they were floating inside waterfilled mommy heaven land where they came from, they would not have suffered by forming one more body part. They grew arms, feet, fingers, even fingernails for hecksakes--why not teeth. Why must they go through the pain of having the sharp little boogers claw their way out of their sensitive little gums???? Is it a right of passage, a form of hazing for club baby??? Seriously, besides ruining my life and killing off my brain cells, I don't think it has a reason.

FYI--my kid has stopped sleeping again. She has once again taken up residence in my bed for most of the night. Yes I am bitter and NO she still doesn't sleep even in my warm wonderful inviting paradise of a bed. She rolls and tosses and turns and attempts to break my nose ALL NIGHT LONG. And all I wanna know is WHY IS TEETHIG SO HARD????
Moving onto a lighter topic...here are more pictures of my kid. Mostly because I have no other life because I am too tired to attemt to leave my house or participate in any other adult activities at this time. Yes this is my child with a swim diaper on her head. Her dad thinks it is funny, and I am not gonna lie---I pretty much agree.
As you can see, one time just was not enough. We felt the need to capture it multiple times. AND YET...still funny. It may be the fatigue, but does she not look so cute. It is like baby gangster or something.
I did actually make 2 attempts at the mall this week. Once with Amy and once with Bobbie. Both ended with my child crying her way out of the mall, into the car, and all the way home. Here she is in the playland with Delaney (that is the back of her cute little head). This is the only picture I got before Em decided she wanted a bottle. She came up to me--mid-play--and said baba--nigh nigh. Now that is pretty clear. The poor kid was tired. She fell asleep right there with all of the playing. Sometimes I marvel at the irony---the kid will not sleep at night in her bed OR mine, but she will cuddle up in the middle of the mall kids area and catch some z's.
That has about been the excitement of our week. Todd and I did go to a birthday party without a diaper bag. That was GREAT. By the way we did not take the kid either---thus the no diaper bag. Anyway... it was like a date---except not like one at all. We need to get better at that. By a raise of hands, do you guys go out without your kids very often??? Drop me a comment and let me know. I hope everyone has a great long weekend. If anybody is interested in a slumber party, I am in----all night baby--YEAH!!

Um lets think about why babies don't have teeth when they are born... hm do you think it might be cause if you were breast feeding and your child had teeth it would even hurt more then I'm sure it does. Just a thought. I wouldn't know of course. But I'm sure teething sucks on the kids end and the parents that have to go through that hard time. I'll be praying for you Jess! ;)
