DAY 1

So today we trekked over the mountains (starting at 6 this morning) and headed to our new favorite Seattle hospital.  We had a total of 6 appointments and spent from 10 oclock until after 2 with different doctors and nurses.  We saw the neurosurgeon, the plastic surgeon, a bunch of nurses, the anesthesia department, a social worker, and dropped off a little blood.  PHEWWW...long day for a little boy (and for his tired hungry parents).  Now he has had his first shower (our room doesn't have a tub) and been scrubbed with special pre-surgical anti-bacterial scrub.  He screamed through most of the shower with his poor dad and then dropped right off to sleep.   He does not know it yet, but his last meal has to be at 2 in the morning.  Then we head to the hospital at 6:45 and the surgery is at 8.  He will be away from us for about 8 hours tomorrow for the surgery and post-op, so we will not know much until tomorrow evening.  I will for sure let you know WHEN WE KNOW=)  We are snug as bugs in the Ronald McDonald House.  What a great place.  Kinda makes me glad we buy so darn many happy meals and help pay for this place.  Us and Bill Gates---major contributors..ha ha!!! 
I told Ethan he is trading in his hot dog bun head for a hamburger bun head...next time ya'll see him he will be big and round...to match his cheeks.  Loves and Hugs!!!!
