We tried to clean some of the YUCK off of him. A weeks worth of blood, and meds, and ointment...GROSS. It was not a complete success, but at least he smelled better. He slept almost the entire way home (as did I ), so he was all smiles for his FIRST bath.
Check out that ROUND little head. LOVE IT!!!
We had a bit of a rough night last night. At least Ethan and I did. I am not sure if it is the meds, or a headache, or just a crying baby....but something is making him sad. He sleeps for a bit and then wakes up cry/scream/whining. It is a sad desperate little sound and breaks my heart EVERY time. This continued most of the night and almost all of today. He did spend a few of his good awake minutes this morning watching cartoons with his sister.
Ta-da....this is it. A zig zag scar across the top of his head from ear to ear. Some day I am sure he will show it off to his friends, but for now....I hate to look at it. I don't want to imagine what happened inside there. MY POOR BABY!!! After a rough day and lots of sad moments, Ethan finally gave it up while watching us eat dinner. He was just tooooo pooped to participate.
I got Em some new stylin sunglasses at the hospital gift shop. She kinda loves them. WHY??? because they are cool and shaped like fish (yes they are upside down).
BUT...they also flip open. Pretty cool huh??? Don't mind our messy garage. This is Emersyn and my attempt at recycling. After a very fun pre-school day at the library, Em was determined that we needed to recycle. SOOO now our horribly messy garage is EVEN messier. Just focus on the fact that my kid is cute and we are saving the planet (yep single handedly).
And after a very long night and day.....after almost giving up and taking him back to the hospital for help....after deciding that my baby was going to cry ALL DAY. We went for a walk and got one of THESE.....
His smile makes it possible for me to make it through ANOTHER night and ANOTHER day and keep trying to get back on our feet. These two cuties are what it is all about!!!!
