Homeward Bound

So today is the day that we get to take our little round headed boy back home.  He has done amazing.  I was a little nervous about taking him home, but this morning he woke up a new man.

He woke up smiling (instead of screaming) and then smiled and played and flirted for about 4 hours before FINALLY going back to sleep.

He just didn't wanna miss a thing.  He has never been REAL into toys bofore coming over here.  He might hold onto one for a few minutes but that was about it.  NOW he seems to have grown up over night.  he has been playing and happy and loving life (as much as you can when you are couped up in a crib all day).
He finally pooped himself out though and crashed. It is hard work being so cute for all of the nurses and doctors=)
I cannot believe how quickly he has bounced back.  Seriously I would have cried for weeks if I had been through what he has been through.  I know that all of the prayers and fasting and love have helped him through this.  I am so grateful for so much love being shown to us.
I am also grateful that this will no longer be my view.  It is never good to look at your baby through bars!!!
Goodbye Crib.  Goodbye Hospital.  Goodbye sleepless nights.  Hello reality!!!  I think there are 3 people REALLY looking forward to seeing 1 very special 3 year old tonight!!!

That looks like it was a rough hospital stay. Poor guy. It hurts looking at those scars. Glad he has such good parents. He's going to have great stories to tell his friends when he gets older.
