What goes on at the Perkins' house????

I often get to the end of the day (or week or month) and wonder...what the heck have we been doing???  Well THIS is pretty much a rundown of May. We have been watching our boy grow up.  He is smiling non-stop (except in my pictures) and laughs so easily.  He is REALLY starting to act like a big boy (for a baby).

We also play A LOT of Barbies.  Emersyn has total conversations and pretends with her Barbies and little dolls for hours.  I love her conversations.  One day her Barbies were telling each other about how their bums hurt and how they needed BUTT CREAM (a conversation Em and I had had a few hours earlier).  Her Barbies also get put in time out and get threatened with Spanks pretty often---go figure. 

 Em spends A LOT of time trying to entertain her brother.  She has brief moments of jealous mixed in with DAYS of nice.  She has really been an amazing BIG SISTER!!

 We also do a lot of photo shoots.  The girl loves her picture taken and wants to pose...this is the pose we get a lot=)

We spend time with our Grandmas.  This particular picture is planting Grandma June's Mother's Day flowers.

We go to the library every week.  We even had a special treat of having Gracee and Kayl come to story time.

 Once a month they have pre-school day at the library.  Emersyn LOVES it.  She wakes up in the morning yelling about going to pre-school and can hardly wait until 10 oclock to go to the library.  Gracee and Emersyn were searching gor bugs (plastic ones of course).

Em is actually super ready to start pre-school.  She wakes up in the morning asking if it is time for pre-school yet (although it does not start until FALL).  She even held her arms above her head and said...BUT LOOK HOW MUCH I GREW LAST NIGHT...I AM READY FOR PRE-SCHOOL!!! 

Did I mention our boy is getting bigger????  Yep he is!!!

We do a lot of comparing him to other babies.  He is just such a cute chubbo!!!  This is how him and Kayl spent their day while their sisters played at the park...what a life!!!

 We spend a GOOD part of the day feeding our boy.  I forgot what a job it is to keep a baby fed.  It is a full time job.  To make things a little more exciting while feeding bottles we have been watching GLEE!!!  IT makes the job much more FUN!!!  Emersyn even knows most of their names and loves to dance and sing along.  We had a dance off the other day and the whole rest of the night she was singing THAT BOY IS MINE!!!  Not entirely appropriate, but SUPER cute!!  She also makes sure everyone knows that KURT is a girl.  She is determined that because he walks, and sings like a girl....HE IS A GIRL.  I think I will wait a few years before I explain that one. 

Honestly, we spend a lot of time watching cartoons.  Emersyn took this picture...which is another of her hobbies.   Some of her favorites right now...Word World, Backyardigans, Dora and Diego of course, and everything on Saturday morning.  I just asked her what her favorite cartoon was and she said ALL OF THEM....Then she said she liked the ones on NETFLIX.  I love that girl!!!

Ethan spent a GOOD part of May trying to roll himself over.  I did not think he would get it before his surgery, but he surprised me.  Fran and Jake came over to pick up their new truck and bam...he flipped over to see Franny.  Now I cannot keep him from rolling. 

But for MOST of the month he would try and Try and TRY and then his sister would walk over and FLIP him over.  He thought the quick flip was pretty fun!!!

Life is pretty good these days.  Lots of hanging out and watching each other grow (except in my case hopefully I am shrinking)!!!
