Ethan is a busy little boy. He is standing ALL THE TIME. It is like he wants to prove to everyone that he is ready to walk. He often turns away and starts walking.....except he doesn't walk yet. SOOO he ends up face planting on the carpet. His mind is ready to walk, but his legs are NOT!!!
As you can see, his forhead is still narrow. One more month and he will be headed to Seattle to get his second surgery. They will be cutting his skull to emlarge it and and give him growing room. His forehead will be widened and his eyes will be separated. SOOO take a good look at that narrow little forehead...it is soon to be replaced with a nice round one!!!
Ethan knows what he thinks is funny. He will laugh when he thinks it is....and give you a rotten look when it isn't. He is pretty easy to entertain though. He loves risk....getting thrown in the air, hung upside down, flipped, drug, wrestled, anything rough. HE IS ALL BOY!!! He also has one goal in life....TO JUMP OFF THE CHANGING TABLE. I swear he gets super human strength the second I put him up on the table to change. He flips and rolls and crawls away. TERRIFYING EVERY time!!
Emersyn LOVES her brother. AND he LOVES his sister. When he wakes up...he looks around for her and as soon as he sees her he gets a HUGE grin on his face. When we pick her up from pre-school he about jumps out of his carseat. And when she is at school, he just wanders around the house looking for her. He even tolerates playing BARBIES and watching Dora. He just wants to be like HER!!! The only thing he loves more than her is FOOD. He is happiest when he is eating and he is eating WHENEVER anyone will give him food. I think if I left him in his highchair all day and had a steady stream of food delivered to him that he would never stop eating and NEVER learn to walk. He eats and eats and EATS!!!
Ethan is an accident waiting to happen at every moment. Sunday he came home from church with a huge bruise on his cheek (they really should pad those benches more). He has a permanent blue spot on his forehead AT ALL TIMES. He closes the drawers on his fingers about 10 times a day, but NEVER gives up and sliding them in and out. He crashes, falls, trips, bumps, and bangs into EVERYTHING. I am going to helicopter around him after he has his next surgery just for fear that he will break his new beautiful skull. I think boys were put here to scare their mothers. SERIOUSLY!!!
And then there is Ethan's BFF. His little twin buddy. He spends LOTS of time hanging out with his little pal. As you can tell by my dirty mirror, they wrestly A LOT. He REALLY thinks that guy is s cutie:)
SOOO when I am not exhausted from his horrible sleeping habits, I think he is pretty cute. I know that he is a special little guy and I am so glad he gets to hang out at our house. 9 months has flown by and I cannot wait to get to know EVEN more of his little personality!!!
