We have not even headed out trick-or-treating yet and I am pretty much OVER Halloween already. Me and Candy are not friends any more, the decorations are starting to get in the way of my life, and I am sick of getting poked with swords and lassoed by a giant fake pony tail. UGHH!!! That being said....Happy Halloween:) We have enjoyed it to the fullest (and I am sure watching my little princess run through the streets in search of candy will also be cute), but I am ready for Thanksgiving and some real (non-sweetened) food.
Halloween arrived early at the Perkins' house. We had our 2nd annual Halloween Party on Friday. We went with a PIRATE theme this year and we WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED!!!
ARRRR!!! Is he not the cutest little pirate parrot you have ever seen???? I believe that there is truly NOTHING cuter than a shamelessly (and helplessly) dressed up baby. You don't have to agree;)
Emersyn invited all of her favorites over for some fun. We had Gracee the cheerleader. ON A SIDE NOTE....3 year old Rapunzels are pretty stinking adorable too!!!!
I LOVE my crazy girl. She was MORE than excited and kept running around the party yelling...."I am having soooo much fun!!!!" Just in case we were not sure as to the success of the party I guess.
Christmas Card??? Probably not
We also had Kayl and Kraeton….
And the bouncy house.....(FYI...if you want your kids to love you, get an indoor bounce house...instant LOVE!!!)
The “Hair”…
The hair worked sometimes...and failed at others. It cracked me up though how and where it would end up!!! Like stuck to the velcro on the bounce house door....
ORRRR on Kraeton…
We also had lots of our pirate friends stop by. Grandma Hook and her Matey Kevin…
Blackbear Emily and her sister Captain Kaylee.
Bode the picture hatin’ pirate and his mommy the good sport
Colton Cow and his Rootin’ Tootin’ Mommy.
Kayl was there monkeying around with Franny. (and I am pretty sure sneaking a cookie).
Katori and Kennedy were Captain Hook and Captain Jack… AMAZING COSTUMES!!!!
And even First Mate Grandma Judy with her (blurry)parrot sidekick.
I somehow missed Jenny the pirate and Creete the Blue Power Ranger, they don’t sit still long enough for pictures…I am hoping to steal them from Facebook as soon as Jenny sits still long enough to post them..haha!!!
Besides bouncing in the bounce house…which was the favorite activity, we also had some games, crafts, and activities for the kids to do.
The Crafting Rapunzels!!
Getting ready for the treasure hunt (with a glimpse of Pirate Jenny in the background).
Searching for treasure…
Evan finishing off the pinata. I LOVE Emersyn and Delaney in the background. They want the candy, but I think they are terrified of all of the hitting Maybe they were rooting for the pinata!!
Princess Emersyn trying to talk the big boys into sharing their candy.
Bobbing for Apples. It was funny these little kids were NOT sure they should be bobbing for apples. Many of them opted out…I guess they thought it was too scary. The ones that did it were not sure what they were doing or why, but were willing to get the apple out so they could have the candy inside. I guess apple bobbing must be kinda old school.
Emersyn had a good time, so I guess that is what matters. My house is still a little broken down, but that is nothing new. Emersyn woke up the next day asking when it was time for her NEXT halloween party, so I guess it was worth it!!!
Plus we got a lot of good treats left behind…that bowl was officially empty by bed time..haha!!! If only there was not still the REAL Halloween coming up…
