One of THOSE days…

Yesterday was just ONE of THOSE days.  You know the kind.  The house is a pit, your kids went to bed late but are still refusing to nap, the baby is crawling around the house crying and trying to crawl up your leg, and everywhere you look there are piles of candy that you SHOULD not eat.  Well…maybe your days are different, but that was ours.  ANYWAY…It had hit THAT time of day…you know the time where you have lost all ability to function as a mommy, but daddy wont be home for over an hour and dinner needs to be made.  THAT time of day is Hell.  HELL!!!  I swear if anything bad is going to happen in a day it is going to be between 4 and 6 at night.  Which  I guess is officially TWO hours.  UGHH!!!

ANYWHO…We had hit a low point…I may or may not have made kid 1 stay in a separate room from me for 5 minutes JUST so that I would not lock her out of the house.  I opened the door to the garage to see if there was magically anything out there in the freezer that would make itself for dinner…and I saw it!!!  NO, not magical dinner…THE WAGON!!!

I grabbed both kids, warm coats, tons of snacks, a few toys, and threw it ALL in the wagon.  I pulled them out of the door still fighting each other over who got to sit in what seats and headed down the road.  halloween 089

The view up there was much better than the dirty walls at my house.  FRESH AIR is magical!!!

I was reminded that my kids were cute and not devils.  They were funny and not demon spawn.  Oh what a difference!!!!

We got to watch to sun heading down, the geese taking off, and some horses get dinner.  SUCCESS!!!

It is strange how OUSIDE, my kids can share, play together, and not scream at me.  Emersyn even sang us a few songs on the way home. CUTE!!

They even stayed friends long enough for me to make dinner when we got home.

SOOO if you stop by our house around THAT time of night, don’t be surprised if we don’t answer the door.  We MAY be outside finding our sanity!!!!  Who knew our sanity was hiding just around the corner…down by the riverSmile

I've soooo been there! Wished we lived closer and could go with you, Lord knows they need it (so do I!). We're missing our library dates!!
