Well Summer is having a hard time showing up at our house these days. One day will be sorta warm and then the next it will be cold and windy...THEN we will have rain. The kids run outside to play and then RUN back in because it is tooooo cold. The other morning it was the FIRST really warm day in a while and the kids decided they better get swimming before the heat left. SOOO by 8 in the morning they were outside filling up the pool. Fine by me. I was outside sitting on the porch swing reading a book...JUST what I like to do at 8 in the morning:)
It cracks me up to watch Ethan learn ALL about playing. He spotted the hose and decided to check things out a bit...YEP in his jammies.
He REALLY thought he had found something AMAZING and was mesmerized by the water.
Can you imagine learning everything...it is mind blowing to realize HOW much he has to learn each day. I mean what a wonder...water flowing out of a hose connected to the house. It is kinda mind blowing I guess!!
Emersyn and Ethan received some spending money from Jon and Mary and they had both hit up Walmart to find some new treasures. Ethan was smart and picked out a huge water spraying beachball...SUPER FUN!! Emersyn chose a baby that poops and pees and flushes the toilet. SHE loves it and I tolerate it. I guess that is what I deserve for letting them chose ANYTHING they wanted!!! Lesson learned.
Is there anything cuter than kids in their bathing suits...I don't think so!!!
Ethan was not so sure about early morning (not so warm yet) water play. THIS is about how close he wanted to get to the BIG SQUIRTING BALL.
But of course he can always count on his sister to help him "learn" how to enjoy the water. This is pretty much how EVERYTHING goes for poor Ethan. "NO NO brother...you WANT to stay in the water" as she grabs him and holds him in.
"NO NO little brother you WANT to go run under the spraying water and get drenched" as she pushes him into the line of fire. As the LITTLE sister of my family I know EXACTLY what it will be like for Ethan for the rest of his life. Someday I just hope HE does not have to fight off the "NO NO little brother you WANT me to cut your hair." I know from personal experience that it NEVER turns out the way they say it will.
Of course we had a little bit of WIPEOUT going down the slide. Emersyn LOVES that show and is counting down the days until it comes back on again.
WIPEOUT!!!
I love watching this kid slide. He goes down on his tummy---LOVE IT!!!
And he is PRETTY proud of himself!!!!
Hopefully we have some more warm days coming up because I have TWO water babies. And the part that lets me know that Emersyn is ALLL me....when she gets done swimming she ALWAYS wants to come in and get dry clothes on and have HOT CHOCOLATE:) My kind of girl!!! So here is to more fun in sun days...ANDDDD the best part...they sleep SOOOO much better when we can go outside:)
