18 month old monkey

Guess who is pushing the 2's???  Yep...Ethan is officially closer to being a 2 year old than a 1 year old.  He is now 18 months (and 10 days).  Can you believe it???  He went to the doctor and is in tip top shape.  He weighs in at 25 pounds (65%) and is 99 % for height, but I cannot remember how tall...oops!! 

I am also in shock that less than 4 months ago his head was straight bald and now he has a spike...who would have thought??  He is perfect....perfect head that is.  His attitude is not so great some times....but that is another post:)
Ethan pretty much has 3 words...Mama, Mahma, and Memma.  As far as I can tell that is momma, grandma, and Emma.  We are working on it. He also knows that a kitty says meow meow...that is super cute to hear... you may want to ask him to share:)   He used to have Nana (banana), Nigh Night, Da Da, and Ba Ba, but for some reason he refuses to use his words.  I mean it...he actually shakes his head NO when you ask him for words.  He uses a series of grunts and pointing...plus hitting you really hard until you listen.  I guess he is on a talking strike!! 
His verbal issues in NO way affect his physical abilities though...he can climb, run, flip, jump, and crash better than any 18 month old should be able to.  He is a busy DAREDEVIL!!!  He is also very handy....he can unplug things, plug things in, remove the heater vents, hide things UNDER the heater vents, etc...he is a regular handy man.  WHICH is actually a good thing since he manages to break about 90 percent of everything he touches!!!
Ethan officially started nursery last Sunday.  We have taken him a couple of times before, but last week he was on his own...for five minutes until he cried uncontrollably and I had to go back in with him...BUMMER!!! 

Ethan has the cutest, smartest, big sister in the world too. He LOVES her and wants to hang with her ALWAYS.  She however likes to play alone in her room with the door shut.  Too bad for her that Ethan mastered opening doors this week....bummer for her!!!
