So...even though it was Valentines Day, we did not do much very exciting this weekend. Todd and I just are not that into Valentines Day and when we have tried to go out, it has always been a crazy, busy disaster. BUT Emersyn had a great weekend with lots of excitement.
Emersyn loves to help around the house, which is great becuase we had lots of cleaning to do. Todd's dad and family came from Bridgeport to visit and Emersyn helped me fold laundry.
We got our chores done and went to the Connell-Burbank basketball game to visit Marcie and Fran. The Eagles did a great job (although we did not watch a lot of the game). Emersyn found a sucker in Marcie and got her to read her THE GREATEST BOOK EVER. For some reason she has latched onto this book and wants it over and over--I don't mind as long as someone else has to read it to her:)
Grace really enjoyed the snacks at the game. Her an Emersyn shared a bag of popcorn (Emersyn's first time) and mooched some of Marcie's pretzel.
Friday Todd's family came to town and we went to visit them at their hotel. Emersyn got to go swimming for the very first time. I was a little scared, but she had a great time. It was a little hard for me to see how big she looked in her big girl swimsuit.
She got ready for the big swim by picking out her goggles:)
She kinda liked floating on her back. It was pretty cute.
What a cute little fishy she is. I think she thought she was in a big bathtub. I cannot wait for this summer when she can have a little floaty pool. I will probably complain then because I will have to drag her out of it:)
So that was the excitement for us. Nothing romantic or mushy, but still pretty fun!!
