GOOD STORY!!
I went to the post office with 3 packages that I needed to mail. I had been carrying them around in my car for about a month because I kept either forgetting to stop OR did not know how to get Emersyn into to post office with the packages. SOOOO I NEEDED to mail them and just bucked up and went to the post office. I hauled Em out of the seat and stood her up next to my leg while I opened the back of the car to get the packages. I had 1 huge box, 1 medium package and a smaller envelope. I was in the process of holding them in one arm and trying to pick up Emersyn when the guy in the car next to me (who had just come out of the post office and got into his car) stops his car, gets out, and asks if I need help. I told him I could get it if he would just hand me the stuff after I picked her up (I was already pretty embarrassed that he had thought I needed help--even though I DID). He said that was silly and picked up the stuff and started walking into the post office. He carried them all the way in and up to the counter and put them down for me. WHAT A NICE THING TO DO!! I felt good, but also bad because how many times have I seen people struggle with their kids in stores and thought "oh that poor lady" or something? Or how many times have I tried to get my stroller through the door at the mall and had people watch while I shut my kid in the door or banged the stroller into things??? I decided that instead of wathcing people struggle I will ask if they need help--It will probably embarrass both of us, but sometimes a person just needs a helping hand!!! SO I guess it isn't a great story, but it did get me thinking:)
MOVING ON....
For 2 days last week I attempted to get Emersyn's picture with the cute bunny ears headband that her grandma gave her. SHE WAS NOT HAVING IT!! For a kid who wore headbands every day of her life for the first 10 months, she has quickly decided that headbands are from the devil. It makes me sad, so I am just waiting until she has REAL hair *sigh* ANYWAY...she would not let me take a picture with the darn ears, so this is what we got (plus at least 15 more like this).
I did manage to get one with a good smile, but of course I cut off most of the ears AND got my hands--what can ya do though???

Sunday we went to my Grandma June's house after church. My Aunt Janet is visiting from Twin and so all of the Bittons came over. My cousin Kelsey was there with her twins and it made my whole day to follow them and Emersyn around. I just laughed and laughed. They did not really play together, but they sure stared at each other and talked to each other. Little kids are so funny--it is like middle school drama all over again--who will play with who and who will talk to who and who is worth my time and my toys?? We REALLY tried to get some pictures of them sitting together, but it ended with 3 screaming crying babies and no pictures. These crummy pictures are seriosly the longest I could get them in once place at the same time.

Emersyn has made the leap from walker to monkey or mountain goat or something. She just wants to climb higher and higher. She moves her chair where she wants to go and then climbs up and over. She went from her chair to a kitchen chair and was really focusing on the table--I think that is her next big adventure!!! She just has NO fear and wants to grow up SOOO fast.
She does take time to relax and catch a little tv time too:) Actually she now grabs the remote and hands it to me if she wants to watch something else OR she points the remote at the tv--like she is going to switch it herself--pretty cute:)
I have not been ignoring my crafts. I actually have been making some gifts and small things for my house. Marcie, Amy and I made these calendars for March (a while back). I just got mine hung up--oops--better late than never. I realize I am missing the 21st, but the magnet fell off and Emersyn ate it. I did not have the energy or the materials to replace it. Nothing happened on that day anyway:)
This is a wall hanging I made at the beginning of the month for Fran's birthday, but I wanted to keep it a surprise for her. Again I was adding to her rooster kitchen.
This little embroidery was for Amy's birthday. It was fun and quick and I actually finished it on time for her birthday--YAY!!
Ok--to finish off the post here is classic Emersyn--messy hair, dirty face, big smile. She is growing so tall that she has really slimmed down--no more chubby cheakers. So cute--so fun--So Emersyn!!!

ah Emersyn looks like a toddler, not a baby anymore. What is happening?!
Looking forward to seeing you on Monday!!
So fun! You are always busy doing something! While I feel like I am too, I don't know what I do--usually my busy consists of washing dishes, cleaning the bathroom, folding laundry, etc. Not the fun things you are always doing! What a great life! Emersyn is such an adorable little girl! She really is starting to look like a little girl instead of a baby now--so sad, but so fun!
