Good thing the sun is still shining!!

So we have gone from hell to....well I don't actually know what is worse than hell, but we are there. No Sleeping. No Eating. Lots of crying--whining--screaming!!! Emersyn has turned into a human koala bear baby--she is hanging on me every minute. Now she has a cough, runny nose, maybe a sore throat--who knows. She walks around holding her head and crying with snot down to her lips. Today she watched almost the entire movie Madagascar while laying down with me on the couch--if you have met Em, you know this is not normal. She usually does not sit still for 2 minutes, let alone 2 hours. Long story short---she is one sick, miserable, sad little girl with an equally miserable mommy.
BUT there is a silver lining of sorts--THE SUN. We were able to go outside and have some much needed time apart. Emersyn moved rocks from the flower bed to a bucket and walked EVERYWHERE. She loves the outside.

These pictures are from yesterday (and are really for Grandma), but this was Emersyn's first real night out of doors. She helped dad fix the sprinkler, but then she got over excited and ran into to sprinklers. She just stood there with her arms up--letting the water rain down on her--all the while laughing her head off. She is going to LOVE summer.

Could she be any more happy????

I was a little sad to see her pretty little outfit get used and abused. She jumped right into a big mud puddle, but she was just having too much fun for me to care at all. She loved being wet. She loved being dirty. She loved being a tom boy:)

She did not however love coming back inside. We had quite the crying fit and then she just stood looking at her new fun place--so sad!!

I am so glad that the sun is shining--it makes it so nice to just stop the crying and complaining and go outside and forget about being sick. Trust me--we spent a lot of time outside today and if tomorrow is as miserable as today, we will be moving the high chair and the crib out to the back porch:)

Atty even enjoyed the nice day. I thought I had better include her because she has been feeling left out lately. HOW DO I KNOW YOU ASK??? Well let me tell you how I know...my cat peed on a quilt I was working on. Yep--you heard me...pee!!! I was so dang mad!!! What could I do though???? She will also be spending some quality time outside these days--whether she wants to or NOT!!!

Oh I love her! She is so funny and I love the fact that she likes being outside and isn't afraid to get wet and dirty. : )
