Happy Birthday To Emersyn--Happy Birthday to you!!!!!

My baby celebrated her first birthday today. She started off her day rockin' her cupcake pajamas:) Actually she went birthday shopping in Mommy's purse and found a pack of gum--SCORE!!! She was soooo proud of herself.

Do you know what happens when you take away a pack of gum from a birthday girl????

A little crying. Some begging. A pretty good attempt to crawl up the barstool to retrieve the missing gum.

And finally a plea to daddy (because mean mommy took the gum away).

Finally a compromise--one piece of gum (the one she had already started to chew). Notice she is happy as a clam holding her piece of gum. My dad got this kitchen toy for Emersyn 2 weekends ago when we went to a big community yard sale. Here she is cooking some gum for breakfast.

Cheeks full of gum. She does not even take the wrapper off first--YUK!!

Moving on....we drove to Hermiston to have lunch with Daddy. She got to run around the dealership and eat a little candy out of the candy dishes. Then Todd, Em, and I stalked the Wieselers--who were house hunting. We found them and helped them pick out a house (we approve Wieselers--lets have a house warming party). Then Em got a little play time in at Amy and Ryan's. Here she is pants-less. No reason, but this is the only picture I got there.

Later Grandma and Grandpa came over for a mini birthday party. Her big party is this weekend. She got to open presents. I figured she wouldn't even care about unwrapping--like at Christmas--but she actually got a little into it.

She loved her pony. We will have to give her some riding lessons though because she has not quite gotten the hang of pushing with her own feet. I guess she will grow into it--or her daddy will have to push her around for an hour every night:)
