So I thought that the misery in our house could not increase, but I was wrong!!! I took Emersyn to the doctor and it seems she has the flu on top of a ear infection. She has been having horrible diarrhea problems (I know--too much information) and pretty much just wants to be held. I thought at least that with a solution things would look up. I WAS WRONG. The antibiotics make the diarrhea worse and she has now stopped eating. She is pretty much surviving on juice, pedialite, and one saltine cracker for today. The doctor was worried about her getting dehydrated, but she seems to be doing ok so far in that department.
HOWEVER...last night she continued on with the puking. I am not sure why it only comes at night, but once again her crib had to be torn apart and washed. Then came the bad part of the night....I am now a member of the horrible flu club. I have learned 2 lessons from puking.
1. I cannot even imagine getting pregnant again because just the thought of being sick like this for 5 months again makes me want to run in the middle of the freeway.
and 2. The flu is the best diet plan--besides the horrible puking (no worries of me ever becoming bulimic).
So Emersyn and I are being miserable together and hoping that tonight is better for both of us. Wish us luck!!

I'm sorry, SO NOT FUN! Dont we know that flu season is OVER! Hope you and your baby feel better, hopefully Todd wont get it so he can take care of his girls!
Ohhh Jess! I am so sorry! There is nothing worse than having sick kids unless you are sick with the kids! I wish I was there to help!
Just a suggestion...try feeding Emersyn yogurt with the live and active cultures--that sometimes helps the system get somewhat back to normal--that and the BRAT diet--banannas, rice, applesauce, toast. Good luck!
It sounds like you guys are having quite the party over there. Hope you guys feel better soon. If you need anything like a refill of pedilyte, saltines, bedsheets, let me know. Seriously though, just give me a call, I have no life so I'm usually not busy. Hope you feel better!
Oh, that is absolutely NO FUN! I hate having sick kids and mom being sick on top of it is even worse. I'm so sorry!! Hopefully, it will pass soon. Hang in there!
