Sportin' the hair clip

Yep. Emersyn's hair is JUST long enough to sport a clippy. For those of you out there who have non-bald babies, count your blessings!!! I am so tired of people asking about my cute little boy with the beautiful blue eyes and long eye lashes (and wearing butterflies and dresses). I know it is a little cheesy to put a clip on a nearly hairless kid, but it really is just darn cute and she REFUSES to wear headbands anymore:( I know---I need to get a life!!
Funny story (funny for the reader--not for me). Yesterday after breakfast I was about to take a shower when I had a bright idea. Emersyn had not had a bath the night before and she had a cereal disaster, so I thought I would take her into the shower with me. I know a lot of my friends kids take showers, and Emersyn LOVES the sprinklers, so I thought it would be perfect. So I grabbed some toys and got us both in there. BIG MISTAKE!!! She screamed bloody murder and held onto me like a spider monkey. I tried to put her down. I tried to show her how fun the water was. I tried everything!!! She was panicked. It was only then that I realized I had a problem. I was wet (and of course naked) and could either get out and try the shower again later OR just do it. SO I took a one handed shower while holding a SCREAMING and kicking (and wet and slippery) little girl. Apparently she ONLY likes water outside and clothed--WHO KNEW??? It didn't get better when we got out either. I toweled her off and put her down and she had a melt down. So again I was naked and helpless. I decided to get dressed first and deal with her after. I was so stressed and probably not that clean afterwards, that I felt like I also needed a nap. Apparently I scarred Em for life too because after I got her dressed she wanted to be held for about 30 minutes. What did I do wrong here?????

Don't you just love those moments where you think she will love something but truly hates it. I do that with Max almost everyday! You will be fine in June taking her to Idaho. Max HATED to ride in a car when he was rear facing. But once we turned him around (which we did a little early shhhh) he doesn't mind it. Plus we have a tv and he can see us. That helps a lot.

Hilarious! You're brave attempting a shower when you're home alone...I used to do that with McKay (who also hated it) and then I'd hand him off to Charles and take my shower...it's amazing how slippery babies are, isn't it?
