After moving out of the ICU things just started to look up. The only thing that started getting worse....the swelling. Slowly but surely Ethan started to get puffier and puffier...and with his little bald head he looked pretty sad!!
He slept a lot, puffed up, and got angry at his IV (the one on his foot). Eventually they had to remove his IV, which made him happy. BUT then they had to give him a new one, which made him UN-happy. But mostly he improved and got more and more like himself. We still had bouts of puking and crying and general unhappiness, but mostly just sleeping and healing.
Last night him and I had some more chair bonding time. We decided to do a little photo shoot so that we could send a picture to my Mia Maids. We are not the sexiest two people around...but we are the...well I am not sure what we are, but I know we are not sexy:)
Ethan has ALWAYS liked to play with my hair to put himself to sleep. Well that habit has NOT gone away...actually it has gotten kinda silly. Sometimes I have to lean over the crib bars so that he can get a handful. Sometimes I have to hand it to him because he cannot lift his hand up. BUT no matter what, he wants a piece of my hair. Since his eyes are shut up tight, he gets really confused about who is where and cries out for me even when I am holding him. SOOOO needless to say he keeps a good grip on my hair JUST IN CASE I decide to try to get away from him:) And that is PRETTY much to excitement around here....
